No let’s get this straight, I am trying to point out to ignorant purveyors of bigotry that I can as easily defame things about Martin Luther as others can defame early Mormons.

Was Martin Luther not an anti-semite? Did he not see devils? Did he not lead a revolt against the one true Church and the followers of St. Peter, upon who Christ built his Church?

Was there not poligamy in the Old Testament?

I read the article posted, including that Mormons do not accept many of these quotes as true tenets of their faith, but then there is a long explanation of how they must be attributed to Mormonism nonetheless.

How tedious, boring and ignorant. Well, soon we will have a Mormon president. God knows we must replace the current official religion, Socialism and Marxism.

This thread is posted in the Religion Forum.

It is an "open" RF thread meaning posters may argue for or against dieties, beliefs, religious authorities, etc. They may ridicule such things. Open threads are often contentious. It is in a "town square" format.

If that style of debate offends you then IGNORE "open" RF threads altogether and instead post to RF threads labeled "devotional" "prayer" "caucus" or "ecumenical."

If you do not wish to see RF posts, do NOT use the "everything" option on the browse. Instead, browse by "News/Activism." When you log back in, the browse will reset to "everything" - so be sure to set it back to "News/Activism."

This is my question: Are you saying that people who are exposing mormonISM are anti-Semitic?

Please answer that question, and not go off on some rant.

However, I will answer these ranting questions.

I know little to nothing of Martin Luther.

Polygamy was not practiced in the the Old Testament, unless you do not understand history and then you would think it was.

As far as God knows, for mormons it would be godS know.

No doubt you can; but this thread is not ABOUT ML or early MORMONs; but about the HERESY that calls itself mormonISM.

Do you have any thoughts about the THEOLOGY being discussed?

Considering the FACT that MORMOINism TAUGHT these 'things' and EMBRACED them and have NEVER repudiated or denied them; what else is a logical thinking person to conclude?

In the Old Testament, God instructed Hosea to marry a prostitute (Gomer) who kept her "cottage industry" going post-marriage. Just because that's in the Bible, and God even sanctioned it in this case, you're not going to suggest that this is a viable "social institution" worth propping up for society, are you?

Did he [Martin Luther] not see devils?

(And this offends your modern sensibilities? Oh. We see)

Did he not lead a revolt against the one true Church and the followers of St. Peter, upon who Christ built his Church?

And were not some of the Popes' actions in medievel and later times' worth revolting against? (Or are you willing to go on record defending all of those things done in the name of the church???)

Oh, and btw, "the church" has ALWAYS been flesh and blood, not brick and mortar; an organism, not an "organization" or institution. The very Greek word for "church" -- ecclesia -- means "called-out ones." Ones = certain PEOPLE -- who are the God-built temple of the Holy Spirit.
