Some associated with the Leadership Conference of Women Religious don't agree with the claim that they've strayed from church doctrine.

If a nun publicly supports abortion and homosexual 'marriage', she is straying from Church doctrine, because these are two of the issues against which the Church has made specific pronouncements.
