Jn 3:5; Mk 16:16 baptism required for entering heaven
When I was a baby, the Catholic Church emphasized that babies should be Baptized as soon as possible. I think I was maybe three weeks old. However, today... the Church doesn’t really emphasize this much. For your first child, the parents have to attend classes (AFTER the birth of the child). So, our son was closer to four months old. (I say AFTER because our Parish had that restriction). So, I did what my old Catholic school girl friends did... I Baptized them myself at home and then had them “formally” Baptized. My husband Baptized our youngest in a hotel room in China (just in case). It made me feel better. Wether this is sanctioned or not... I know seven old school friends who did just this.
Was the thief on the cross baptised? NO
Did he go to heaven? YES
Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
That's not what the verse says...That may work when other Catholics are told what the scriptures say and you guys know they won't check you out...But it won't work with people who read the scriptures...
Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
And this says the opposite of what you claim...
