We celebrate Easter every week as we participate in the sacrament of the Lord’s supper. Jesus taught his disciples to “Do this in remembrance of me” — every week we remember the sacrifice that Jesus made for us, and how He overcame sin and the grave, and covenant to follow Him.

NORM!!! Got room in there for a beer?

If I don't; I'm not above adding on.

Nah; really; could you just explain EXACTLY what you MORMONs partake of during your 'sacrement'?

Water and white bread were not served at the Last Supper.

The Pagan Origins of the name “Easter”: The name “Easter” originated with the names of an ancient Goddess and God. The Venerable Bede, (672-735 CE.) a Christian scholar, first asserted in his book De Ratione Temporum that Easter was named after Eostre (a.k.a. Eastre). She was the Great Mother Goddess of the Saxon people in Northern Europe. Similarly, the “Teutonic dawn goddess of fertility [was] known variously as Ostare, Ostara, Ostern, Eostra, Eostre, Eostur, Eastra, Eastur, Austron and Ausos.” 1 Her name was derived from the ancient word for spring: “eastre.” Similar Goddesses were known by other names in ancient cultures around the Mediterranean, & celebrated in the springtime. Aphrodite, named Cytherea (Lady of Cythera)
Ashtoreth from ancient Israel;
Astarte from ancient Greece;
Demeter from Mycenae;
Hathor from ancient Egypt;
Ishtar from Assyria;
Kali, from India; and
Ostara a Norse Goddess of fertility.

Many Christian churches have weekly communion....they do not feel the need to label it as "celebrating Easter". Easter in truly Christian churches is celebrated as probably the most important day ever...Jesus rose from the dead. Comparing it to the mormon sacrament of stale bread and water is ridiculous.

Mega FAIL!
