The 80 year-old Watergate conspirator who went on to become a respected Christian columnist and commentator started feeling badly this past Friday at the Wilberforce weekend conference near Washington, DC. The next day, according to Colsons non-profit Prison Fellowship, doctors removed a pool of clotted blood from the surface of the brain.
As recently as yesterday the "Christian Post" was quoting Colson spokeswoman Michelle Farmer as saying that there is nothing alarming with his health. The "Post" and CBN News both emphasized he did not suffer a stroke.
Today Colson is listed in critical condition, but Farmer says he has shown some early signs of potential for recovery.
Colsons seven months in prison after pleading guilty to obstruction of justice in connection with the Watergate affair led to his founding of Prison Fellowship. A Baptist, he is alos the founder and chairman of the Wilberforce Forum, which is described as the "Christian worldview thinking, teaching, and advocacy arm of Prison Fellowship. Colson's radio program, "BreakPoint," is heard on a thousand stations. Christian actor Dean Jones portrayed him in the 1978 film, "Born Again."

I wouldn't equate him with Chesterton, but I'd put them in the same category. Sort of.
Prayers up for his recovery.
What does “don’t forget your baptism” mean?
If you have to ask, you wouldn’t understand.
Haven’t stopped praying since I learned of his hemorrage. May God grant Mr. Colson healing .
