Mary sealed to Heavenly Father by LDS proxy temple rites The Mormon Baptism of Mary, Mother of God

By Helen Radkey

Hail Holy Queen

Mary (the mother of Jesus) was a Jewish woman of Nazareth in Galilee, identified in the New Testament as the wife of Joseph and the mother of Jesus of Nazareth. Christians believe Mary conceived Jesus miraculously by the agency of the Holy Spirit. For twenty centuries, Christians have cherished Mary and given her titles that reflect their love and admiration—such as the Blessed Virgin Mary, Theotokos (Mother of God), Our Lady, and Queen of Heaven. As the most celebrated woman in Christendom, Mary is considered the epitome of virtue by Christians, especially Catholics and Orthodox. Protestants generally perceive Mary as an outstanding example of a life dedicated to God. Over two thousand years after she gave birth to Jesus Christ—who is recognized by Christians and Mormons as the Redeemer of mankind—Mary of Nazareth was offered “eternal salvation” through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS.)

Mary, a Mormon by proxy

“Mary Mother of Jesus,” the spouse of “Joseph „of the House of David‟…” was baptized and confirmed a member of the LDS Church by proxy on December 9, 2009 in the Idaho Falls Idaho (LDS) Temple. She was subjected to initiatory temple ordinances on December 16, 2009; an endowment ceremony on December 26, 2009; and a sealing to parents on January 7, 2010—all rites occurred in the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple.

It appears that your standards are simply sub-Christian.

Any old paganism will do, right?

Kurt and I grew up in very close proximity.

I've always thought of Kurt as overrated and underrated at the same time.

Oh yeah, and I further compound my sin by celebrating Christmas and Easter...

And using a Julian Calender...

And Roman names for week days...

And eating Pizza...

I’m a Christian, so I don’t do pagan nonsense like christmas and easter; I respect the times God set out for those supposed events: Tabernacles, and Passover.

That is the sole path to his blessings.

Acts 15: 1* Some who had come down from Judea were instructing the brothers,a “Unless you are circumcised according to the Mosaic practice,b you cannot be saved.”* 2Because there arose no little dissension and debate by Paul and Barnabas with them, it was decided that Paul, Barnabas, and some of the others should go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and presbyters about this question. 3They were sent on their journey by the church, and passed through Phoenicia and Samaria telling of the conversion of the Gentiles, and brought great joy to all the brothers. 4When they arrived in Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church, as well as by the apostles and the presbyters, and they reported what God had done with them. 5But some from the party of the Pharisees who had become believers stood up and said, “It is necessary to circumcise them and direct them to observe the Mosaic law.”

6* The apostles and the presbyters met together to see about this matter. 7* After much debate had taken place, Peter got up and said to them, “My brothers, you are well aware that from early days God made his choice among you that through my mouth the Gentiles would hear the word of the gospel and believe.c 8And God, who knows the heart, bore witness by granting them the holy Spirit just as he did us.d 9He made no distinction between us and them, for by faith he purified their hearts.e 10Why, then, are you now putting God to the test by placing on the shoulders of the disciples a yoke that neither our ancestors nor we have been able to bear?f 11On the contrary, we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus,g in the same way as they.”* 12The whole assembly fell silent, and they listened while Paul and Barnabas described the signs and wonders God had worked among the Gentiles through them.

13* After they had fallen silent, James responded, “My brothers, listen to me. 14Symeon* has described how God first concerned himself with acquiring from among the Gentiles a people for his name. 15The words of the prophets agree with this, as is written:

16‘After this I shall returnh and rebuild the fallen hut of David; from its ruins I shall rebuild it and raise it up again, 17so that the rest of humanity may seek out the Lord, even all the Gentiles on whom my name is invoked. Thus says the Lord who accomplishes these things, 18known from of old.’

19i It is my judgment, therefore, that we ought to stop troubling the Gentiles who turn to God, 20but tell them by letter to avoid pollution from idols, unlawful marriage, the meat of strangled animals, and blood.j 21For Moses, for generations now, has had those who proclaim him in every town, as he has been read in the synagogues every sabbath.” 22Then the apostles and presbyters, in agreement with the whole church, decided to choose representatives and to send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. The ones chosen were Judas, who was called Barsabbas, and Silas, leaders among the brothers. 23This is the letter delivered by them: “The apostles and the presbyters, your brothers, to the brothers in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia of Gentile origin: greetings. 24Since we have heard that some of our number [who went out] without any mandate from us have upset you with their teachings and disturbed your peace of mind, 25we have with one accord decided to choose representatives and to send them to you along with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 26who have dedicated their lives to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27So we are sending Judas and Silas who will also convey this same message by word of mouth: 28k ‘It is the decision of the holy Spirit and of us not to place on you any burden beyond these necessities, 29namely, to abstain from meat sacrificed to idols, from blood, from meats of strangled animals, and from unlawful marriage. If you keep free of these, you will be doing what is right. Farewell.’”l

30And so they were sent on their journey. Upon their arrival in Antioch they called the assembly together and delivered the letter. 31When the people read it, they were delighted with the exhortation. 32Judas and Silas, who were themselves prophets, exhorted and strengthened the brothers with many words. 33After they had spent some time there, they were sent off with greetings of peace from the brothers to those who had commissioned them. 34* 35But Paul and Barnabas remained in Antioch, teaching and proclaiming with many others the word of the Lord.

Looks like Christianity is defined by the Church, not by any arrogant man in his cups who lusts for a pseudo return to a romanticized notion of a mythical version of Judaism.

You constantly post your ignorant strawmen to me, showing your lack of understanding of God’s word...

Or is it a lack of desire to understand?

Or a desire to deceive?

.
Whatever it is, Your posts never address my post in any way, yet you keep on posting into the wild blue yonder.

Circumcision has absolutely nothing to do with YHWH’s appointed times, and showing that you lack such basic understanding gives us all solid reason to ignore your irrelevant posts

Judaizers are not Christian. Non Trinitarians are not Christian. Those who define their own Christianity as they please are not Christian.

Scripture is clear.

I’m not a “judaizer,” nor non trinitarian, I’m a follower of God’s word.

Since you are ignorant of Christian beliefs, and worship, you try to judge us by pagan catholic beliefs, and you are always wrong when you do that.

All first century Christians observed YHWH’s appointed times; read Paul’s epistles, they are all about those observances, every one of them. They especially emphasized Passover, but every convocation mentioned in the epistles was one of the appointed feasts. You have to put on some mighty dark glasses to miss that point.

I’m not a “judaizer,”

Your post 266 says otherwise.

nor non trinitarian

That's not what you have said in the past. You have posted against Nicea and the Nicene Creed numerous times.

I’m a follower of God’s word.

Do you count out Acts 15, which I have posted to you?

All first century Christians observed YHWH’s appointed times

1 Corinthians 16:2, and Acts 20:7 show that the transition from the predominantly Jewish Church to a predominantly Gentile Church started almost immediately. And Paul was a big part of it. Revelation 1:10 - the Lord's Day - is Sunday, not Saturday. It is true that the complete transition did not happen for some time, and it took the Council at Laodicea to finally formalize it, but the fact is that the transition started immediately.

Paul, a cultural and upper class Jew, who spent most of his missionary time with the Jews, necessarily observed Jewish holy days. Yet he was in the forefront (along with Peter) of pushing the transition away from Judaism. Pharasaical Judaism sealed the break with the hypothetical Council of Jamnia in which they declared Christianity a Jewish heresy and that Jews would have nothing further to do with Christians.

Scripture and history both are very clear on the subject. The Jews are the elder brothers of the Christians and they are God's Chosen people. We are not Jews; we are grafted in, but if you know anything about such matters, the branches grafted in, although they are attached to the same trunk and root (God), are not the same. You may have apples and pears on the same tree. You may have red and white grapes on the same vine.

Christians are not Jews. Scripture (including the Scripture I have posted and probably will again) is clear.

"I’m not a “judaizer,” nor non trinitarian, I’m a follower of God’s word."

I would really like to believe you, but I have doubts. Can you point to the fruits of the Holy Spirit in your posting history?

“ Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter." - Matthew 7:21

“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit. - Matthew 12:33

For each tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they pick grapes from a briar bush. - Luke 6:44

Circumcision has absolutely nothing to do with YHWH’s appointed times...

 Romans 14

1 Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters. 2 One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables. 3 The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. 4 Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand.

5 One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. 6 Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7 For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. 8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. 9 For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

10 You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. 11 It is written:

“‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will acknowledge God.’”

12 So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.

13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister. 14 I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean. 15 If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy someone for whom Christ died. 16 Therefore do not let what you know is good be spoken of as evil. 17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, 18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.

19 Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification. 20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All food is clean, but it is wrong for a person to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble. 21 It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or to do anything else that will cause your brother or sister to fall.

22 So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself by what he approves. 23 But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.

Scripture is clear.

Yup...

John 6:28-29 (niv)

Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”

Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

1 John 3:21-24

Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.  And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.  The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
