Mary sealed to Heavenly Father by LDS proxy temple rites The Mormon Baptism of Mary, Mother of God

By Helen Radkey

Hail Holy Queen

Mary (the mother of Jesus) was a Jewish woman of Nazareth in Galilee, identified in the New Testament as the wife of Joseph and the mother of Jesus of Nazareth. Christians believe Mary conceived Jesus miraculously by the agency of the Holy Spirit. For twenty centuries, Christians have cherished Mary and given her titles that reflect their love and admiration—such as the Blessed Virgin Mary, Theotokos (Mother of God), Our Lady, and Queen of Heaven. As the most celebrated woman in Christendom, Mary is considered the epitome of virtue by Christians, especially Catholics and Orthodox. Protestants generally perceive Mary as an outstanding example of a life dedicated to God. Over two thousand years after she gave birth to Jesus Christ—who is recognized by Christians and Mormons as the Redeemer of mankind—Mary of Nazareth was offered “eternal salvation” through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS.)

Mary, a Mormon by proxy

“Mary Mother of Jesus,” the spouse of “Joseph „of the House of David‟…” was baptized and confirmed a member of the LDS Church by proxy on December 9, 2009 in the Idaho Falls Idaho (LDS) Temple. She was subjected to initiatory temple ordinances on December 16, 2009; an endowment ceremony on December 26, 2009; and a sealing to parents on January 7, 2010—all rites occurred in the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple.

I have several difficulties with following your analysis and rationalization of decidedly un-Christian behavior:

You'll need to actually show this; and not just claim that it exists, if you want me to defend it better.

These were actions taken before the Pentecost in where He gave His Apostles and us our mission.

Surely you do not mean for me to IGNORE everything AFTER Acts 2:13??

Acts 2:22-24

22 “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. 23 This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross. 24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.

Now THAT sure doesn't sound very 'loving' to me!

Your insults are a perfect example of how not to preach in His name.

Matthew 15:16
"Are you still so dull?" Jesus asked them.

Mark 7:26-27
26. The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter.
27. "First let the children eat all they want," he told her, "for it is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs."

Please reflect and pray on the number of times Christ told us to love and the number of times St. Paul called upon us to be an example of this.

For some reason; REBUKING folks for things does not appear on your radar.

Mary is not “the mother of God,” and venerating is the same as worship, and is a sin.

Uh huh...

But then that also means that Christ is not God...

So may I take it you are non trinitarian as well....

Now for a little enlightenment as far as venerate meaning same as worship...

Venerate: "To regard with respect, reverence, or heartfelt deference." One of the 10 Commandments is "Honor your Father and your Mother." Do you honor your father and mother? Do you respect them?

Worship: "The reverent love and devotion accorded a deity, an idol, or sacred object." Do you worship your parents? Certainly not, and neither do Catholics worship theirs, nor Mary.

Study a little more and lay off the Jack Chick tracts...

If you’re honest, its time for you to study more.

“Mother of God” is an ancient, 4000 year old pagan title directly referring to the “godess” Ishtar (Ashta, Ashtoreth, Semiramis) who by legend was the ‘mother’ of her deceased husband NMRD, whom she claimed was reborn in the person of her illegitimate son Tammuz.

The “Mary” that the catholic ‘church’ worships is thus that godess. The mother of Jesus Christ, like every other person born in her era, was well aware of that legend, becaust it was the essence of the idolatry of the near east. Mary would never have stood for having that title used in reference to herself.

Mary was not the mother of Christ’s God-ness, she was the mother of his human-ness; his God-ness had existed eternally, and knew no beginning, thus needed no mother.

Christians all understand this, but catholics do not. The early “reformers” were all raised in this same embrace of idolatry.

To a catholic, preaching the truth of God’s word is a personal insult. It’s not allowed to use God’s word to win an argument with a catholic.

P.S. - Ishtar was also known as the “Queen of Heaven,” another pagan title that the catholics willingly apply to the Earthly mother of our savior.

"If you’re honest, its time for you to study more.

And the "Son of God" is an equally old title for the Chinese Emperors, and the title of the Egyptian God Horus who was the son of Isis and Osiris. The accursed Balaam had 70 deities, each bearing the title "son og god". None of that detracts from the divinity of Jesus any more than the preexistence of the title of Mother of God detracts from the Theotokos.

Let us not forget the examples of Romulus and Hercules, as well. From the second millennium BC, we have the Sumerian goddes Inana who descends into the underworld, is killed and hung on a hook for three days and three nights, then resurrects and ascends into heaven.

None of these invalidate Christianity. Kneeling in prayer was practiced by pagans for millennia before Christianity, for instance. So?
