(CNSNews.com) – “If the government can just order you to buy something, and fine you if you don’t” – the way the individual mandate of Obamacare requires every American to buy government-approved health insurance and fines them if they don’t comply – “they can order you to do anything,” Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli said during an appearance on C-SPAN’s “Newsmaker” on Sunday.
Cuccinelli, the first attorney general to file a lawsuit challenging Obamacare, said out of 16 judges that have heard the lawsuit so far, only one has ruled that the fine amounts to a tax.
“Of 16 judges, one found it to be a tax. Unfortunately for Virginia, he sits in the 4th Circuit and he’ll be there for a long time. But, this is a truly radical position, because if the government can just order you to buy something, and fine you if you don’t, and because they can fine you, that comes under the taxing power and therefore makes it constitutional, they can order you to do anything,” Cuccinelli said.

His statement may very well be true. But that alone won’t stop the obamanation from being enforced. In fact, it may the PURPOSE of the mandate, to usurp the last vestige of individual liberty in the land.
Everyday, there’s a new assault on our liberties! Every f’n day. Sunday, Christmas, Easter...never a day off for freedom. This is why when I go on a tirade about these things in my office people think I’m nuts. They simply can’t keep up. I do, or try anyway.
Exactly what the liberal wants.

If this mandate becomes precedent I don’t see any non-violent solution. Even IF we win the presidency and the entire congress and overturn Obamacare, the precedent will stand. If the mandate is deemed constitutional then the federal government will have seized the right to force you to buy anything they choose.
You will be forced to buy an all electric car and be fined for driving a gas burner.
What if we get a mandate to buy electric cars like the Volt for “environmental safety” to prevent global warming?
Wouldn’t the same logic of the liberals mean that all citizens would have to follow that mandate or pay a fine?.
“It’s good to be the king.”, Obozo must think he is King Louis XVI,of France. Well the American people are not your slaves, vasals, or chattel.
Or worse!
...with a letter that says "This is what we will MANDATE for every Federal Judge to buy and wear under penalty of steep fine!"
