John 10:33-35 King James Version (KJV) 33The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God. 34Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? 35If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
That passage in no way supports the claim that Jesus never claimed to be God. If you are not rebuking that IMMEDIATELY, but rather defending Copeland's statement, you are being deceived.
John 10:30 I and the Father are one.
John 14:6-10 6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him. 8 Philip said to him, Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us. 9 Jesus said to him, Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works.
Matthew 1:22-23 22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: 23 Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel (which means, God with us).
WOW. Shocking.
Wonderfully surprising non-sequitur. Congrats.
I’m beginning to think we aren’t on the same planet and certainly not speaking the same language.
And I’m NOT even typing ‘in tongues.’
