A good preparation for Lent. Our responses can be our guide to where we need to devote more effort.

This is AWESOME! I did some evangelism in NYC several years ago - sharing Jesus with the Jews. The whole thing was always this, “Who do you say that I am?”

We don’t read the Bible, the Bible reads us.

Sorry, my FRiend. Such error is what leads to the heresy of Rome. We are not Abraham, we are not Moses. The non-jew shows up in the movie after the cross and is grafted in as the wild branch following the the removal of the enmity of the Law. Rom. & Eph. 2. But, then this would require Rome to read the book it claimed to have given the world and, whoops, there goes Rome.

Thanks for the post. I skipped the discussion and went directly to the questions...think I’ll email the pdf file of the questions alone to my family.

Great list! I emailed it, with the discussion, to all my Catholic friends as a nice Lenten meditation. I also sent it to my parish’s secretary. Thanks!

The scriptures are our own story. We are in it. To read scripture as a mere spectator looking on is to miss the keynote. Scripture is our story. Ummm, no.
The Scriptures are about Jesus. He tell us so, at least twice.
You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me(John 5:39)
And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. Luke 24:27
