“I know that it has become quite popular for purist to renounce Christmas and Easter but I do not nor do I think does our LORD.”

And who is right?

Then there are more questions (that the fakirs here refuse to answer), like:

Unitarian or Trinitarian?

Baptism as a Sacrament or just symbolism?

Communion as a symbol or the Body and Blood of Christ?

What day is “the Sabbath”?

Women as authority figures in a congregation?

What Creeds or Confessions do we believe in?

Where is the Christian imperative to:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,. “

And how to reconcile that COMMAND with the obfuscations, disagreements and odd evasions here?

Whatever you do believe you should endeavor to receive from Scripture and from The Holy Spirit. When you agree with others it should be with your mind, fully, as an individual rather it be with what your Church teaches you or with another individual. People and institutions including Church institutions have varying and changing opinions including The Catholic Church. The Scripture does not change and is inspired by God.

The Scripture I gave showed that The LORD is not that interested in such things as which day you choose to keep Holy as they are a shadow of things to come but the body is of Christ. Loving one another means that sometimes even if you are right you let the other person have their way, especially if they are a weaker brother. Things like whether someone with a weaker conscience is afraid to eat meat etc. you do not bother to correct because it's really not important in the greater scope of things.

But on the other hand there are things that are very important and if you read The Bible with the help of The Holy Spirit He will guide you into all truth. A major problem though is that so many have been indoctrinated with fallacies that they have a hard time reading The Bible fully relying on The Holy Spirit's assistance but rather see it through their own preconceived fallacies. That is why it is so important to read The Bible seriously praying for The LORD's guidance and laying down prejudices. One doesn't have to be afraid to do this because one will find that The LORD is there and does guide.

Bf: “I know that it has become quite popular for purist to renounce Christmas and Easter but I do not nor do I think does our LORD.”

narses:And who is right?

Buy a clue. It doesn't matter.

That is a matter of personal conviction and the people themselves have to answer to God for themselves and themselves alone.

It's not a matter which pertains to salvation and is not addressed in Scripture so it is not critical to have conformity to a certain position.

Catholics need to get a grip on what freedom in Christ is all about. And it isn't about lockstep conformity to the dictates of of their self-appointed leadership.

“I know that it has become quite popular for purist to renounce Christmas and Easter but I do not nor do I think does our LORD.”

And why would you think that??? It's not something that your learned from scripture...Jesus never indicated that we should be the least bit concerned about the date of his birth...

But one should ask, how did it end up on Dec. 25??? Why not October 14th??? Was their a Christian influence that put the birthday in December??? Absolutely not...So what gives???

The OT warns about cutting down trees and decorating them...

Easter??? The pagan celebration of the false goddess, the queen of heaven??? Why not celebrate the passover instead...The passover is not Easter...

And who is right?

II Tim. 2:15

Then there are more questions (that the fakirs here refuse to answer), like:

Unitarian or Trinitarian?

What fakirs??? Most all of hold to the Trinitarian view...

Baptism as a Sacrament or just symbolism?

Water baptism is something that God does...It is not spiritual...It is something we chose to do...Getting wet doesn't make one spiritual...Turning to and following Jesus is what water baptism is all about...Water baptism is a public confession that one has made Jesus the Savior of one's soul...Or at least it's supposed to be...

It's a public confession that symbolizes that we have died with Christ...Been buried with Christ...And have risen with Christ...

You have not died, been buried and risen in your flesh...

It's spiritual...And water can't do it for you...It can only be done in your soul and spirit, your heart...And you can't do it...Only God can make it happen...There's not enough water in the Pacific Ocean to make you 'born again'...

Turning to and following Jesus while asking Jesus to become one's Saviour results in the Spiritual baptism...This baptism comes from God...This baptism has not one thing to do with water...

Communion as a symbol or the Body and Blood of Christ?

It's neither...It's a memmorial...

What day is “the Sabbath”?

Saturday of course...The bible tells us that...Don't you read the bible???

But then God tells us that any day we chose can be our sabbath...Do you know why??? It's because the Sabbath was not made for God...The Sabbath was made for man...

Women as authority figures in a congregation?

It's all in the bible...Women can be authorative with other women and children...

What Creeds or Confessions do we believe in?

I don't subject myself to any creeds or confessions...I can write my own creed based on the scriptures and it will be far better and more accurate than the ones your religion puts out...

Where is the Christian imperative to:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,. “
And how to reconcile that COMMAND with the obfuscations, disagreements and odd evasions here?

It's above your pay grade...You guys don't even get the milk of the world let alone trying to tackle some meat...

If you can't even connect the rest of the command to do 'all' that Jesus taught, you're in no position to even discuss the issue...
