This seems to go completely against the golden rule (see Matthew 7:12).
Would that be right next to where we are as Christians to call out false prophets?
Joseph Smith was is false prophet, mormonISM is being called out.
If you don’t like it don’t get on the religion forum.
“This seems to go completely against the golden rule (see Matthew 7:12).”
Not at all. I find that my faith is stronger because when people have questioned me or even mocked me I’ve had to answer them by searching Scripture and my heart for answers. One of my answers is found in the fact that Scripture is essentially unchanged from when it was written. The Book of Mormon, in contrast, is a work in progress with revisions following one after the other. The BoM has had over 4,000 changes in 200 years. In that same time the King James Bible remained unchanged. Amazing.
So, yes, I believe that Mormonism and Mormons require the same scrutiny as do Christians and Christianity in general. If they are not able to withstand such scrutiny then that becomes a matter of introspection for each of them, I would suppose.
You would rather have people lie to you then tell you the truth? You would rather have them not correct errors or misconceptions that you have?
Gee, I would. Hence do unto others.
BTW, it took these kinds of comments to get me to see that there is no way Mormonism is possibly ‘true’ in any way.
MORMONism goes against CHRISTIANITY; so what's the beef?
