With her right arm being kept immobile, it is beginning to atrophy so lots of therapy will be needed when it is able to be moved. She will most likely be in the hospital Rehab 10-12 more days and lots more therapy after leaving.
Her body may be broken but her spirit and sense of humor are very much intact. Her latest is...the therapist was walking her down the hall today, therapist has one hand pushing the wheelchair and the other hand holding on to the strap around yorkie. Yorkie stops mid-hallway and therapist wants to know what's wrong. Our quick witted friend responds..."Oh, no!..they've put away the pole, now I won't be able to do my pole dance!" (I'm sure each one of her therapists enjoy their time with her...she is an amazingly great patient...she'll be pushing herself harder than they demand!)
She called me for another reason but wanted me to tell all she is so thankful to everyone on FR and so looks forward to being healed enough to thank each one individually. I told her we will continue the prayers...she needs to focus on healing.
