Urgent Prayer Request for Our Dear FRiend, Yorkie. [Yorkie update at #877]

While in route to California on Tuesday Yorkie, Tiapam and Cardhu were in a horrible one car accident near Kingman, AZ.
Yorkie was airlifted to Las Vegas while two FReepers were called home. Cardhu and Tiapam died at the scene.

Tiapam has been a Freeper since December, 2009; Cardhu has been a Freeper since July, 2005. Please remember them in your prayers.

I talked to Yorkie tonight; she is in ICU with serious non-lifethreating injuries.
She has many broken and crushed bones on her right side. She will need lots of therapy and lots of prayers.

Please say a prayer for Tiapam's and Cardhu's families and friends.
Yorkie is in urgent need of prayers for both physical and emotional healing. She and Tiapam have been friends for 27 years.

I had talked to yorkie earlier and they were coming to help her shower so we only talked a few minutes.

She just called me back after her shower. She still has a sense of humor She gave me permission to tell you all that since she can’t comb her hair that she is growing dreadlocks. See, she’s still funny. She cheered me up a whole lot. She can’t wait to get online. She asked me about today’s thread. (Amy’s Place). I told her what I could. I did tell her there were 459 posts on her prayer thread and she could not believe it.

I asked her why the nurses couldn’t straighten out her hair and she said “they were too busy” and couldn’t do that for all patients.

Her voice breaks a little now and then but all in all, she’s doing as well as can be expected. I know the Lord is providing her much strength. And prayers are being answered, too!

Happy Sunday, Randy.

I talked to Yorkie this morning. She said when they walked into her room with that beautiful basket of mums, she started crying.

She asked me to thank you and your wife for your love and prayers. Also, she has been cuddling with the teddy bear. She said it is a big comfort.

I will be posting an update later.

Yorkie update as of 10.00am California time. :)

She asked me to let everyone know that she feels the love and prayers being offered for her. She is humbled and is anxious to get back online. We spent time talking about Amy’s Place, Pam and Pam’s love of Caturdays at Amy’s.

She was moved from ICU to Rehab. Her new room number is ‘Rehab room 36’. In rehab she is working on learning to walk again. They have her up but they use a belt to get her on her feel. She still needs support. since she cannot use her right arm and has limited use of her left arm. Because of the arm injuries and weakness she is unable to support herself with a walker.

I told her that Marissa has been worried about D’Ogee. Her message to Marissa is ... “15 years ago, she, Pam and a friend, Bev, saw a sign for “Yorkies for sale”. The three of them bought the litter. Yorkie had Lindy, Pam took D’Ogee and Bev took the brother, Little Bit. Lindy went to Rainbow Bridge this past year. Tomorrow, Bev is driving to Sedona from Pueblo, CO to take D’Ogee home with her. D’Ogee will spend whatever time she has left with her brother, Little Bit.”

When Yorkie is released from the hospital, she plans to spend some time in Southern California with her son and his family. She will need help for awhile.

Prayers are appreciated so please keep them flowing heavenward.
