Lurker has seemingly yet to consider that his own standards condemn himself.

He does that with his "mind his own business" standard...by sticking his nose into others' business.

He does this by his "consenting adults" all things legal and one day to be legal standard...by failing to respect what consenting adults do as legal realities already

And then here...he takes offense at things I've said about Mormons...truthful things...meaning he is intolerant of truth and intolerant of my religious expression and freedom to say those things...being intolerant of my religious vantage point = his own religious bigotry -- vs. me and others like me.

Therefore, by his own standard, he has exhibited "hatred" toward me and my religious viewpoints.

All kidding aside and returning to discussing the article at hand, why ask for decriminalization and not legalization? Ask that question and the loss of welfare monies becomes apparent.

In a perfect world, polygamy could work fine. It works pretty well in the animal kingdom. And that is the point.

It is more of an animal breeding instinct than the thinking man choice of having one mate. It is usually ‘culture’ which supports or demonizes certain behaviors. People around the world practice polygamy, and marriage is treated differently in different cultures.

So, the right or wrong issue is pointless. The practice of polygamy in the US when it has been specifically outlawed in most states, is the issue.

Our nation decided to stick with monogamy, and there are many good reasons for it. The first issue that should be settled, before pointing any fingers, is, do we stick with monogamy or not.

Your ramble may be fine in THEORY, but the practice of polygamy is inherently wrong and leads to abuse.

Let me ask you, since I didn’t get a answer from Lurch, how many polygamists (or ex-polygamists) do you know personally? Have you ever been to one of their compounds? Had dinner with them? Helped those who wanted to leave?

Until you have don’t tell me Polygamy isn’t evil.

The Courts already have destroyed it by adopting “homosexual” marriage. It undermines the very Constitution and Right Reason according to Nature. They have dumped the Constitution. It no longer has any meaning.

They have used Barney Frank’s Urges to decide Right and Wrong Standards. They believe in promiscuity—even when married-—yes, polygamy is next-—and then they will go after the children.

Homosexual Marriage is about NO sexual morality allowed in the Courts. That makes every sexual act “good”—in direct conflict with our Constitution which upholds the First Principles which includes Moral Rectitude.

Virtue is necessary in the Republic-—all Founders knew this. There is nothing virtuous in homosexual acts-—sodomy is always EVIL and should be condemned in our courts.
