Question on Cremation. Does the Bible say anything about it? Is it forbidden?

Who ever said that? Making up “strawman” arguments to mask bigotry won’t work here.
I got fed up when the dipstick couldn't get past the idea that it was a Masonic (protestant) novelty.
That was Aunt Helen. She did the same after our father died. 3 kids, already in her 50’s.
Actually before that. We still had grandma in bed (she was bed ridden), my father and us 3, in a 1 bedroom apartment in the Bronx.
No wonder why she was so pissed! I wish I could turn back the hands of time and change so many things.
There are estimates that 107 billion human beings have lived and died on this earth.
Where are all those skeletal remains?
Astonishing to think that earth has recycled all those human remains - except for the few million whose graves are recorded.

Acidic soil will eventually dissolve most remains over the centuries, in those regions that have it, such as here. Cities are built on top of old structures, graves, etcetera over millenia to the point that some very ancient ones appear to have been placed on a hill. You can hardly build anything new in Jerusalem without having graves turn up.
How many wild animals, including large ones, have died on this earth? Most of their remains disappear. The only ones preserved for any length of time were buried in mud or frozen, apparently.
The notion that we’re somehow running out of land is a very urban one. We’re not. Maybe we’re running out of convenient locations for cemeteries in highly populated areas, but we’re certainly not running out of land.
I meant to say that the entire funeral expenses, including everything --- coffin, cemetery plot, etc. etc. --- cost about $4,000, and the Catholic Church per se asked for nothing and got nothing unless you count the $25 we gratuitously offered to the choir director.

I believe it was customary to “bury” people in holes carved out from the side of the hill in old Jerusalem.
So, while it was a tomb, it is not what is normally portrayed in the movies. The tombs were more like what we have a mausoleums these days. Not room enough to stand up and walk around. But rather, dug out and with a large rock rolled in front to keep the critters out.
So, buried or entombed are probably not 100% accurate, nor are they incorrect.

The other interesting belief is that the Earth has not gained or lost any volume since its creation.
e.g. all liquids, gases and solids - all living cells - animal, vegetable & minerals are converted, absorbed, released and refabricated.

Well, barring something entering from outside the atmosphere of Earth, that would have to be true. It’s not as if we’re creating matter, here.
I have a terminal rare lung disease, and have bee tying to decide just what I want done with my remains. My husband is buried in a national cemetery, and I can be as well. I don't have life insurance so it is a money issue with me.
My husband has a conventional burial. Does anyone know if I was to be cremated would the urn be placed in his grave as a casket would be? His name is on the front and mine would e on the back of the military headstone.

Mrs. D: Costs vary from state to state. Looks like Tennessee has real bargain rates...maybe I’ll move there before I cork off just to get those special rates!
My friend just buried her husband of 40 yrs here in PA. and $10 grand was the cost. In PA. there are so many rules and regulations: big expense is there must be a concrete vault in the ground.
In NYC,gravediggers (union) get $30 an hour.
If you handed the choral director $25 in NYC, she would tell everyone you were a cheapskate.
Gee, even the altar boys get $20 apiece.
