It's not bazillions, but it's quite a few. The ironic thing is that some of this groups splintered off before Joseph Smith bragged that he had been more successful at keeping a church together than any other man, including Jesus.
The sadly ironic thing is that the last three, now-thought-to-be-defunct groups on this list are African sects started by blacks who were baptized by LDS missionaries then told that they could never be exalted, nor enter the Celestial Kingdom, nor be gods over their own planets, because they were Negroid. Nice to baptize you; that's the breaks. So they started their own sects of the Mormon church in which these racial restrictions on them were removed. NOW THAT'S an interesting part of Mormon history you won't see on an "I'm a Mormon" commercial.
