Excerpts:
Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Kings 13:18 The old prophet answered, "I too am a prophet, as you are. And an angel said to me by the word of the LORD: 'Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.'" (But he was lying to him.)
Jeremiah 23:16 This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.
Ezekiel 22:27 Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey; they shed blood and kill people to make unjust gain.
Daniel 11:34 When they fall, they will receive a little help, and many who are not sincere will join them.
Matthew 7:14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Matthew 24:11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
Matthew 24:24 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible.
Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect--if that were possible.
Luke 6:26 Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for that is how their fathers treated the false prophets.
John 10:12 The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.
Acts 13:6 They traveled through the whole island until they came to Paphos. There they met a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet named Bar-Jesus,
Acts 20:29 I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock.
Romans 16:17 I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.
2 Timothy 3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
2 Peter 2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves.
1 John 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Revelation 16:13 Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
Revelation 19:20 But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
Revelation 20:10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Is it true that all the kids have to sit through the service with the parents? My oldest sits with us but I can't imagine sitting through a church service with my 23 month old twins. Thank goodness my church has child care.
I hate to correct you, but all Mormons do not spew hatred.

Ummm...yes they do. I’ve seen it first hand all the years I was an active, temple attending, ‘worthy’ Mormon.
The WHOLE PREMISE of Mormonism is hatred against Christians. From Smith’s supposed ‘first vision’, to Young’s comments, to Gordon B. Hinkley admitting they worship a different Christ, to the rank and file Mormons who make fun of ‘gracers’.
And you brag about DI helping you, did your father ever tell you of all the conditions that were attached to that ‘help’, because I GUARANTEE there were. Again, seen it first hand.
It sounds like your warm fuzzy love for Mormons is based upon what you perceived as a child rather than the reality that is usually only seen by adults.
Jesus is about the individual.

And Mormonism is all about “the Church” not Jesus...sadly.
Bow your head and knee to WHAT? By your responses obviously NOT the God of the Bible or Jesus Christ.
You aren’t quite Mormon but you are damn close and your comments show you are not a Christian in any way shape or form. Christianity is not a universalist religion.
He’s good at that...
Of course it isn’t. It is what you have made it to be and thank you for your great and almighty gift to the world.
Can I get up now?
Mormons in the past (one who have been banned) have directly on this site (particularly those who speak out against Mormonism) of...overtly and deliberately lying, calling FReepers Nazis, stalking, attempting to implicate FReepers in murder and other things.
Its a pattern on the RF.
You are a good man, Jim. Thank you for your discernment and for this thread.
I love you and your site! Merry Christmas.
Sometimes it is best to face palm and walk away.
Oprah can’t live forever...
How many Christian would do well to remember that if a person says that they are speaking in The Name of The LORD and it does not come to pass just as they said it would, that person is a false prophet. So many run after people who claim to be prophets who over and over are wrong in what they prophesy. False prophesy is not a little matter but is hated by The LORD. Those that said that they were speaking in His Name and proved to be false were to be put to death.
Deuteronomy 18:22
“But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.”
Care to tell the audience WHY they were banned Sandy?
Because, just like all the former Mormons who spent all those years denying Christ, they still have to face eternal damnation.
