There is a difference between being ‘anti-Mormon’ and being ‘anti-MormonISM’. The heresy of Mormonism is something that every Christian should fight. Had I had more info, it would have spared me years of being Mormon myself.

Today I have spent my time with my family. My son and daughter. My wife. My grandchildren. A couple of fly-bys from aunts and uncles.
There was some news earlier that one of the kids’ friends was killed in a car accident early this morning. Skater boy. And with the variance between ages of sons, daughters, brothers and sisters he was the little one. The youngest of the group. 17.
I live in a small town. About 3,000 people. And God forbid most of them are Mormons.
The kids had a vigil at dusk down at the skate park. And now several are here distressed and in lament. I’m such a hateful and evil bastard they have the full confidence that when they are in my house they are home.
How can anyone forgive him for the smartass things he posted on my wife’s FB page?

It is IMPOSSIBLE to believe in Mormonism and be a Christian. If you truly accept Christ, you will leave Mormonism sooner rather than later.
I speak from experience and can name many other ex-Mormon’s who would tell you the same thing, even here on FR.

If I remember my history, the Roman church rejected Hebrews but accepted Revelation.
The Greek church accepted Hebrews and rejected Revelation.
So in the final compilation of scriptures each agreed to allow both those books in the Bible.
So Church Tradition had nothing to do with these two books.
Mormonism is a gospel of works, not grace. They denounce salvation by Grace. They cannot accept a false Christ and be saved and Mormonism teaches a false Christ.
I can give you specifics if you would like.
I know it is hard to deal with the fact that family members are headed for Hell and not really Christians, but deluding yourself into thinking Mormonism is anyway Christan will not help your family see the truth.
Nana isn’t saying that at all. She speaks the truth. Mormonism is completely incompatible with Christianity.
There is no ‘smorgasbord’ of belief in Mormonism, you either accept ALL of it, or it all falls away (you accept none of it). You either trust Joseph Smith (Mormonism) to save you or you trust the Christ of the Bible (who is not the ‘christ’ of Mormonism). You cannot have it both ways.
I know many Ex-Mormons who are now Christians, MANY, including myself and several on here, and if you accept Christ, truly trust HIM and not the LDS church for your salvation, you leave Mormonism and VERY VERY quickly. Once someone sees Mormonism for what it is and accepts salvation by Grace through faith in Christ, sitting through LDS services IS PURE HELL. Been there done that and think of vomiting every time I think about LDS sacrament meeting and what they teach.
I have yet to meet a Mormon who can understand the Bible even at the basic level. If they try, they end up leaving like I did.
