Was the thief in Luke 23 heaven (paradise) bound or purgatory bound?
Luke 23:41: And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. Luke 23:42: And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. Luke 23:43: And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

I suggest YOU dig deeper. Study the Early Church Fathers find out what they taught what they learned from the apostles and what they beleived basd on the teaching of the apostles for several hundr3ed years before the Catholic Curch even ordered the canon of scripture. Funny thing is, none of you guys can point out what these church fathers of yours learned from the Apostles...

Read Polycarp he studied at the feet of the apostle John I have...There is absolutely nothing in his writings which can not be found referenced in scripture and there is nothing that refers to unwritten Apostolic tradition...

well, the problem is that that also include Paulicians and Cathars and others who believed in Gnosticism, that Christ was a member of a higher “god” which YHWH was just a demiurge.
