I think I’ll go ask some Mormons to educate me about Christian beliefs, Medthodist perhaps, or Lutheran

Please do.

As for what Mormons believe, don't start with what FR posters post (although most of the 'usual suspects' are ex-Mormons). Go to the LDS's own current educational materials on the official LDS website (www.lds.org).

For adult converts and English-As-A-Second-Language Mormons in Sunday School, try Gospel Doctrines. It's lightweight reading and does cite to other sources.

Then there are the official guides for teaching children, starting here, reaching high school here (I picked a chapter dealing with magic seeing rocks for the translation of the Book of Mormon, and being exalting and being a god over your own planet, which you populate with spirit babies), to college students here (still with the exaltation and getting your own planet to population and serve over as god).

And there is a marriage manual.

So if people here speak about the Celestial Kingdom, the Telestial Kingdom and the Terrestial Kingdom, and exaltation, and multiple brides in the after life, and salvation through works, and all of these other topics - confirm it for yourself through the www.lds.org manuals used to teach children and college students - or through the LDS Gospel Principles manual.

I do my best to stay away from theology and am interested in history - and certain not just LDS history. I am interested in things such as changes made between the 1997 and 2009 Gospel Doctrines manual

But I respect the rights of FR members to their religious beliefs.

I don't respect the rights of everyone to practice their religious beliefs (human sacrifice or kiddie sex, for example) or to wage a blatant PR campaign of lies and half-truths about that the religion believes in order to gain converts who are immediately told that they cannot do what was represented as acceptable in the advertising campaign.

Let’s see, you say my church is wrong, my creeds are an abomination, my pastor is corrupt, my Heavenly Father is invented, my Jesus is mythical, my Trinity is a monster, my justification is pernicious, my grace is a fallacious doctrine originated by Satan, and my Bible is not trustworthy. Then, when I attempt to offer any sort of disagreement or rebuttal, you accuse me of hatred and bigotry. If that isn’t enough, to add insult to injury, you want to steal my name? Not on my watch!
