As Jewish families gather this week to celebrate the Festival of Lights, Todd and I would like to wish them a very Happy Hanukkah. This beautiful holiday commemorates the story of the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem, following years of struggle by the Maccabees, when one-days worth of consecrated oil miraculously lasted for eight. This story never ceases to inspire because it reminds us of the power of faith, hope, and perseverance.
The modern State of Israel is the living embodiment of the Hanukkah miracle a country that was not expected to survive the onslaught of its enemies, and which has not only survived but thrived as a beacon of freedom, tolerance, and innovation. In a region consumed by chaos and oppression, Israel continues to be a light of inspiration. As Jews around the world sing Maoz Tzur, we remember that our nation, too, was conceived in faith in our mighty stronghold. Let us cherish the values and warm bonds of friendship that unite us in this season.

She’s obviously an anti-semite. /s
OK, I’ll bump that, just on account of Mesta. ;-)
Any word from our devout muslim, Kenyan born, illegal alien, occupant of our White House? Didn't he "reach out" to homosexuals and muslims this year? Howz' 'bout Christians and Jews . . . huh, Barry?
I know that you and your fellow believers want to cut the heads of the Jews before you do that to Christians, but are you going to fake it today for the Jewish Americans (who, for some damn reason, will vote for you in droves)?
Sorry, But Sarah is this
Not this
and those stupid people think she is this
And our muzzie and mooche in chief’s started it on the 8TH and lite all the candles at once!
Yep -- he lighted the Hanukkah menorah (hanukiah) 2 weeks early and all 9 candles in one fell swoop.
I think 0 refers to it privately as a hanutokenkiah.
Or maybe he fills the "bowls" with something special and refers to it as his hanutokinkiah.
Thanks, Sarah! Good yontiff to you, too, and a Merry Christmas.
“Faith, hope and perseverance.”
We need a lot of that.
Merry Christmas Freepers!
Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas to all!

I follow a billion politicians on Facebook, and Sarah was the FIRST to post Hannukah wishes. Outstanding!
Israel has a friend in Sarah, too bad the media and pop-culture types here of Jewish descent couldn't return the same.
Hey Sarah: THe next time you and the family are in the DC area, drop in for some latkes (potato pancakes with applesauce), matzoh balls and chicken soup, and really good brisket.
Also, no need to bring any moose with you. We have Five Guys hamburgers, the original store, right down the block, with great fries.
And if you really want to eat, within 200 feet of Five Guys we have a good chinese restaurant, Dominoes pizza, TGIF’s, Popeyes’ Chicken, and Wendy’s.
I can go the to the nearby bank and eat my way up the block for a week. I know that Wasila doesn’t have it like this, and we don’t have to look out for hungry bears, either.
Happy Chanukah to you and your family.
B2FUL message from B2FUL Sarah.
