The Advent journey for me took me also into painful dental suffering and overcoming fears about dentists and getting help in that area. The road to Bethlehem this Advent can very well be through suffering.
Agreed. My father died on Christmas Eve and I didn’t find out till New Year’s Eve. I work in a nursing home and sometimes residents die around Christmastime. Last year I didn’t celebrate christmas because of winter depression. This year I have a real appreciation for Christmas thanks to vitamin D LOL.
