“Ask a Mormon, and he or she will agree readily that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is not part of ‘traditional Christianity’ or ‘historical Christianity,’” Otterson said. “(But) that is not the same as saying that Latter-day Saints are not Christian.”

Well Sandy it cant be both things...

Lets look at the 2 separtate statements...

1. “Ask a Mormon, and he or she will agree readily that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is not part of ‘traditional Christianity’ or ‘historical Christianity,’” Otterson said.

Ask a Christian and he or she will agree readily with that statement...

and so will God...

2. “(But) that is not the same as saying that Latter-day Saints are not Christian.”

When Christians agree with that 1st stsatem, ent this is exactly what they are saying...

and so are the Mormons...

and this is also what God is agreeing to...

Mormons are not Christians...

BUT lets see what the LORD Jesus Christ who is God has to say about the subject...

The Jews and the Mormons gathered around Him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.”

The LORD Jesus Christ answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in My Father’s name speak for me, but you do not believe because you are not My sheep.

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10:24-30

The LORD Jesus Christ says to Sandy and her Mormons, “I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man or woman comes to the Father except by Me.” John 14:6

I believe that with all my heart. Jesus Christ is my Advocate with the Father.

Interesting - my grandson (age 6) attended VBS that was put on by the Lutherans and the 7th Day Adventists and he had a blast - they even had a zipline that went across the gym for the kids. However, when he came home he said, “Grandma, they don’t know Heavenly Father!” He said “They don’t pray right” because they don’t pray to Heavenly Father and end in “In the Name of Jesus Christ - Amen.” I thought that was really cute of him and insightful. I believe the Holy Ghost taught that to my grandson.
