"Why should the Knights of Columbus mediate/intervene in this crisis?"

As a Brother Knight Of Columbus and Pro life Chair of my Fl. KOC Council I would Love to see the Knights Of Columbus get involved in this misguided injustice by Bishop Zurek regarding Father Pavone. This just might be what it takes to get this horrible situation resolved.

Yes Bishop Zurek has recalled Father Frank Pavone to only work inside the Diocese of Amarillo -- with no travel outside the Diocese to do Pro-Life work.

"Some people has called this a suspension of the priestly duties of Father Frank Pavone.

On the contrary, Father Frank Pavone can administer the sacraments -- he is just limited to doing so in the Diocese of Amarillo".

Reply: After recently driving to Texas and visiting with Fr Pavone I have found that Fr Pavone is severely limited in administering Sacrements and Celebrating Mass "Only" at the Convent of the Disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ, a charismatic Franciscan community of religious sisters.

The sisters are truly wonderful Holy Spirit driven workers of God. They Love Fr Pavone and Prey for him to be freed as I also do.

Fr Pavone has always said pray for those whom you have a problem with. As a life long active Catholic I do pray but I still have a hard time praying for Bishop Zurek. My humanity takes over when I see someone take misguided advantage of their powers as Bishop Zurek has.

To date the diocese has given Fr Pavone no work to do and no spiritual guidance. The diocese has not returned phone calls, emails or letters regarding Fr Pavone to anyone that I am aware of except the media.
