A notoriously 'gay-friendly' parish in San Francisco has invited an openly homosexual Episcopalian cleric to lead an Advent Vespers service.
Most Holy Redeemer parish asked Bishop Otis Charles, a retired Episcopalian prelate, to lead the November 30 service. After serving as the Bishop of Utah from 1971 to 1993, he publicly announced that he is homosexual. Divorced from the mother of his 5 children, he solemnized a same-sex union in 2004.
So would you say that the Catholic Encyclopedia is not a part of the "paraclete informed christian church??"
Mary is not our savior.
Jesus is.
I hope you realize that before it’s too late.
No kidding? Really? What odd cult teaches that stuff?
You are arguing from ignorance, a big logical fallacy.
What is your point?
Lord, forgive all reviling of Mary’s name!
We beseech Thee, hear us!
Lord, forgive all contempt of her Immaculate Conception!
We beseech Thee, hear us!
Lord, forgive all coldness in the honoring of Mary!
We beseech Thee, hear us!
Lord, forgive all contempt of Mary’s pictures!
We beseech Thee, hear us!
Lord, forgive all neglect of the Holy Rosary!
We beseech Thee, hear us!
Lord, forgive all indifference to Mary’s Motherly love!

Nope.. but then I do not add to infallible scripture as if i think I am..
Oh really? And the chapter and verse for that is???????
It is what it is: an effort by a group of editors to put together all things Catholic into one encyclopedia. They ran it by a lot of folks, went through a lot of revisions. It's a valuable compilation. I don't believe one would find anything in it that was contrary to Catholic doctrine; but, to say it is a work of the Church and everything in it is the official view of the Church would be wrong.
Well you are citing St John of Damascus as if he is ...he did not agree on the deuterocanonical books ..so was he right on this and wrong on that??
Credo in Deum Patrem omnipotentem;
Creatorem caeli et terrae.
Et in Jesum Christum,
Filium eius unicum, Dominum nostrum;
qui conceptus est
de Spiritu Sancto,
natus ex Maria virgine;
passus sub Pontio Pilato,
crucifixus, mortuus, et sepultus;
descendit ad inferos;
tertia die resurrexit a mortuis;
ascendit ad caelos;
sedet ad dexteram Dei Patris omnipotentis;
inde venturus est
iudicare vivos et mortuos.
Credo in Spiritum Sanctum;
sanctam ecclesiam catholicam;
sanctorum communionem;
remissionem peccatorum;
carnis resurrectionem;
vitam aeternam. Amen.
In English:
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ,
his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived
by the power of the Holy Spirit,
and born of the Virgin Mary,
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended into hell.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
he will come again
to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen
Ohh so they are not part of the church..or maybe because they wish to have some credibility they left out tradition that the magisterium has never “infallibly “ proclaimed and just stick to the REAL KNOWN FACTS.. Shocking i know
1 Timothy 2:5-6 5For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.
No one is listening anyway.. they can “pray away’
What the heck are you trying to say?
Your posts indicate you have no idea of the Church. Yet they seem to be reaching for some way, any way to criticise.
It’s an encyclopedia. Try comprehending that.
How dare you restrict the Catholics to scripture? The Mariology loss would devastate the entire base for much of what they believe.
LOL. So everything else that was not a sign done by Jesus in the presence of his disciples had to be included?
Catholics say: “the sky is blue.”
Have at it.
Are you referencing the encyclopedia article? I do not see what you are talking about.
Im so glad you always include the Latin because everyone understands it and of course it is much more holy after all. LOL
