In many parts of the world, today is a day of remembrance for the victims and the veterans of war. (Today is also Martinmas incidentally.) I thought it might be fitting to gather together a variety of historical photos showing Masses offered during wartime, taken from various places and locations.

Wonderful post! Our pastor was a war vet and very no nonsense.
Let’s not forget we too are at “war” and must stay faithful in horrible conditions. There is the death of faith and the destruction of sin all around us. We are kneeling in the rubble of a Church where members do not always practice their faith properly. We are tired, spiritually hungry, and covered in secular grime. We must soldier on.
