Christ our righteousness ping
AMEN!!!! THANK YOU JESUS!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, MY SAVIOUR AND REDEEMER!!!
That cleansing power cleanses the whole life from sin and sinfulness.
And if we forget to repent of a sin, we’re not damned forever.
Praise God it doesn’t depend on our perfection (works).
Wouldn't that cleansing of the unrepented sin be "Purgation"?
Jesus IS our ‘purgation’.
Nope.
The sin is cleansed by forgiveness on God’s part, not suffering or works on my part.
Purgatory, by any other name, is still Purgatory.
Do you know what would confound and baffle him?
Besides main prayers for this man's soul. I would just cover the Blood of Christ over him. Well you would see so much hate in a face then retreat in a person. I would say it right in front of him. I told him he is working for the wrong person in a mental prayer. He would acknowledge with a face look then response. Truly amazing!!
Yes ! The precious Blood of Christ ! Indeed!!! Praise Jesus!!
Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world. Amen!
Nope. Forgiveness is forgiveness.
No need to pay anything or suffer for anything.
No wonder Rome lives in utter darkness. The kind of twisted logic you have performed here rivals the absolute screwed up doctrines that the Roman Cult Clan manufactured out of whole cloth. No pope in Scripture, but there is a rope-a-pope in Rome. No purgatory in Scripture, but there is a purgatory in the self-made religion of Rome. No indulgences in Scripture, but there certainly were (and are) a lot of them for sale from Rome. No sacerdotalism in the Scriptures, but Rome desparately needs the men in bathrobes to absolve sin from the poor parishoners.
There is no light in Rome, only the darkness of your kind of logic. Tragic. We entreat you, leave the chains of Rome, swim back over the Tiber...the light of Christ, and His Precious Shed Blood alone, awaits. That is, if He permits you to escape.
Purgatory, by any name, is a satanic hallucination.
The cross is where the entire payment was made.
Romans 8:1-2 1There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.
Free is free. If we still have to pay for anything, it's not been forgiven and we are not free. That then makes Jesus, Paul, a whole bunch of other disciples liars, and Scripture itself liars.
There is NOTHING that can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ. The question that must be asked is "what does 'in Christ' mean? Because once you're there, you are there to stay. Your life cannot separate you, your death cannot separate you. "Purgatory" cannot separate you. Things to come cannot separate you. That would include sins to come. Present things cannot separate you. NOTHING can separate you. IF you are IN CHRIST.
If you are NOT IN CHRIST, NOTHING can join you to the love of God.
It's all about Christ, Natural Law. And being IN Him. And He in you.
“......for those who are in Christ Jesus”
how does the Bible say we get “ in Christ Jesus”?
Those that have repented and come in faith.. have put on Christ.. this is symbolized by our baptism ....
Philippians 3:8-9
8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish in order that I may gain Christ,
9 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith
Faith alone my friend ... faith alone.
You may have said this half in jest ... but if you look at this publication ...
http://www.theworkofgod.org/Library/Purgatry/Readme.htm
... it is clear your characterization applies aptly.
we have heard from men and women, let’s see what the Bible says about how we become “ in Christ”
Galatians 3:27
“for as many of you
as were BAPTIZED INTO CHRIST have put on Christ.”
Romans 6:3
“do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?”
( we know at least two who didn’t know this )
finally 1 Corinthians 12:12-13
for just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. for by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body - jews or greeks, slaves or free - and all were made to drink of one Spirit.
Let God be true and every man a liar.
