No one ELSE?
No; he isn't.
This LOSER couldn't even beat out a fellow rino LAST time; and NOW there happens to be some REAL Conservatives in the field!
Oh?
How can that BE?
It happens to be LEGAL!
If we, as a Nation, cannot stop the KILLING of Future Americans; why would we give a rat's patootie about anything else?
Are you 'OK' with OTHER folks joining him in MORMONism?
Well said!
Sorry to tell you this, but at least the whipped cream and other garnishes you get at IHOP, along with the sweetener in the pancake batter, could very well be new products developed by a research company that uses cells from abortion mills to test and create their products. Since companies like Pepsi are relying on those new products to help them make a "more healthy product", you may well soon be served an abortion waffle at the IHOP if they rely on ingredients from Pepsi owned suppliers.

It is not for me to decide another's faith.
Through personal example & witnessing, I very well may advocate my Baptist faith. But to decide, deride, mock, or otherwise criticize anothers faith hardens them against me...and rightfully so.
O.K. I'll give it a shot.
What is the question, and why do you think it is for me?
You asked it, you tell me...
But aren't BAPTISTs given the command to be like Jesus?
Matthew 15:16
"Are you still so dull?" Jesus asked them.
Matthew 231. Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples:
2. "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat.
3. So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.
4. They tie up heavy loads and put them on men's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.
5. "Everything they do is done for men to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long;
6. they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues;
7. they love to be greeted in the marketplaces and to have men call them `Rabbi.'
8. "But you are not to be called `Rabbi,' for you have only one Master and you are all brothers.
9. And do not call anyone on earth `father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.
10. Nor are you to be called `teacher,' for you have one Teacher, the Christ.
11. The greatest among you will be your servant.
12. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.
13. "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.
14. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
15. "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.
16. "Woe to you, blind guides! You say, `If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.'
17. You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred?
18. You also say, `If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gift on it, he is bound by his oath.'
19. You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred?
20. Therefore, he who swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it.
21. And he who swears by the temple swears by it and by the one who dwells in it.
22. And he who swears by heaven swears by God's throne and by the one who sits on it.
23. "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices--mint, dill and cummin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law--justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.
24. You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.
25. "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.
26. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.
27. "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean.
28. In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.
29. "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous.
30. And you say, `If we had lived in the days of our forefathers, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.'
31. So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets.
32. Fill up, then, the measure of the sin of your forefathers!
33. "You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?
34. Therefore I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town.
35. And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.
36. I tell you the truth, all this will come upon this generation.
37. "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing.
38. Look, your house is left to you desolate.
39. For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, `Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.' "
Mark 7:26-27
26. The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter.
27. "First let the children eat all they want," he told her, "for it is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to their dogs."
And St. Paul chimes in...
Galatians 5:12
As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves!
But to decide, deride, mock, or otherwise criticize anothers faith hardens them against me...and rightfully so.
HMMmm...
Oh I get it.
You want to be perceived as an all around nice guy.
OK then.
#1 Jesus Christ criticized -- openly and repeatedly -- the legalistic Pharisees. (The apostle Paul followed His example and did the same of the Galatians, who were also engaged in legalism; Paul even critiqued Peter for the same king of thing)
Therefore, your "template" above is an "epic fail" -- unless, of course, you yourself are critiquing Jesus Christ and the apostle Paul here. If so, just 'fess up.
Which, btw, leads into #2:
If you are critiquing Jesus Christ -- and us by extension -- then aren't your posts a constant expression that works against the above? IOW, aren't you, Laotzu, refuting yourself?
I try to satirize (w/occasional sarcasm) -- vs. simple mocking; yet it seems your constant unrelated giraffe postings deride & mock posters re: demeaning any serious discussion of thread content issues. Worse, you have criticized us several times. Even accusing others of deriding and mocking is criticizing, is it not?
Therefore, have you "hardened" us vs. yourself due to your critiques? Yes? No? Or are you just plain inconsistent in applying your own philosophy?
#3 You say "against ME" -- but I wasn't aware that the key here was to make disciples of ourselves. I'm not trying to make Colofornian disciples; Elsie isn't trying to make Elsie disciples; and I don't think you are trying to make Laotzu disciples, are you?
You see, what you have seemingly failed to discern is that a number of religious people have already hardened themselves vs. Jesus Christ. Some living content needs to crack that hard shell -- because they've virtually innoculated themselves vs. the need for a real savior w/their coating they've placed around themselves.
That's why you see the Holy Spirit's role, says Jesus, is to convict the world of righteousness, of sin, and of judgment. (John 16)
We see the apostle Paul being used by the Holy Spirit to do exactly that in a conversation with a governmental leader in the book of Acts. (That tells us that the Holy Spirit will often seek to "convict" people through other people)
The
DOCTRINE AND COVENANTS
OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS
SECTION 71
Revelation given to Joseph Smith the Prophet and Sidney Rigdon, at Hiram, Ohio, December 1, 1831. HC 1: 238239. The Prophet had continued to translate the Bible with Sidney Rigdon as his scribe until this revelation was received, at which time it was temporarily laid aside so as to enable them to fulfill the instruction given herein. The brethren were to go forth to preach in order to allay the unfriendly feelings that had developed against the Church as a result of the publication of some newspaper articles by Ezra Booth, who had apostatized.
14, Joseph Smith and Sidney Rigdon are sent forth to proclaim the gospel; 511, Enemies of the saints shall be confounded.
1 Behold, thus saith the Lord unto you my servants Joseph Smith, Jun., and Sidney Rigdon, that the time has verily come that it is necessary and expedient in me that you should open your mouths in proclaiming my gospel, the things of the kingdom, expounding the mysteries thereof out of the scriptures, according to that portion of Spirit and power which shall be given unto you, even as I will.
2 Verily I say unto you, proclaim unto the world in the regions round about, and in the church also, for the space of a season, even until it shall be made known unto you.
3 Verily this is a mission for a season, which I give unto you.
4 Wherefore, labor ye in my vineyard. Call upon the inhabitants of the earth, and bear record, and prepare the way for the commandments and revelations which are to come.
5 Now, behold this is wisdom; whoso readeth, let him understand and receive also;
6 For unto him that receiveth it shall be given more abundantly, even power.
7 Wherefore, confound your enemies; call upon them to meet you both in public and in private; and inasmuch as ye are faithful their shame shall be made manifest.
8 Wherefore, let them bring forth their strong reasons against the Lord.
9 Verily, thus saith the Lord unto youthere is no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper;
10 And if any man lift his voice against you he shall be confounded in mine own due time.
11 Wherefore, keep my commandments; they are true and faithful. Even so. Amen.
