i don’t damn you as heretical, you do that yourself by rejecting the Scriptures. you have elected to follow the 16th century tradition of men, rather than the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Faith Christians have believed for 2,000 years. it’s worshipping yourself rather than the one true God.
explain to me how eating “bread” is participating in the Body of Christ?
Everyone:
So the real flesh and blood is of the transfigured body of Christ?
to believe in the One He sent.
it is not to tell lies after the father of lies, the devil.
I thought Protestants just took the split thing from the RCC splitting from the Eastern Orthodox.
No, God the Holy Spirit works through our human spirit to sanctify our souls, just as He has for every believer in fellowship with Him who thinks His Word through faith in Christ.
If a doctrine arose within Church History which God leads others to reject, then it was a false doctrine.
It took the institutional church some 400 years to get the doctrine of the Trinity straight. That doesn’t mean there weren’t believers or members of the Body of Christ prior to that time. It does manifest His Body is provided by Him and not the works of men.
"..we pronounce declare, and define it to be a divinely revealed dogma: that the Immaculate Mother of GOd, the ever Virgin Mary, having completed the courses of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory." Munificentissimus Deus- Pope Pius XII, no. 44.
So, the Holy Spirit did NOT lead men to believe that Mary was assumed prior to 1950, and in fact, when it became dogma in 1950, was that not rejecting what "Christians" had believed and been taught, or in this case NOT TAUGHT for 1900 years prior?
those claiming the RCC is NOT a "man-made" institution show they are ignorant of how men can create Church doctrine and dogman, even 1900 years after their "beloved early Church Fathers". And His MOTHER.
Do you have no shame?
you might want to read 1 Corinthians 11:27-29 and ask yourself - how can one be guilty of profaning the Body and Blood of Jesus by eating “bread” and drinking “wine” if the Body and Blood of Jesus is not present?
Christians have discerned the Body and Blood of Jesus for 2,000 years.
this doctrine is so important, Paul says he received it directly from Jesus in v23.
Yet here you are in most every group doing just that. Go figure.
I seem to recall a fellow known as John the Baptist who lived a few years before the 16th century.
Actually theirs more proof of the cult of the Queen of Heaven goes back to Babylon and has engaged with pagans and false religions for a lot longer.
no you didn’t miss my anser, you quoted it to start your post.
non-Christians have attacked Christians for this doctrine for 2,000 years, so much so that the Romans accused the Christians of being cannibals as they were fed to the lion.
it is shocking to see how Jesus is held up to scorn and laughter, it is very sad.
LOL!!!!! THANKS FOR THE LAUGH!
I do believe its the RCC that says it worships the same god as the Muslims.
The Church regards with esteem also the Muslims. They adore the one God, living and subsisting in Himself; merciful and all-powerful, the Creator of heaven and earth, who has spoken to men.
Perhaps that’s why they use muslim terminology so frequently. Some of them are very familiar with it.
Jesus said false prophets will arise and lead many astray.
If someone rejects baptismal regeneration as the Bible teaches, they are a false prophet.
In the case of baptismal regeneration, it was 16 centuries before these false prophets arose to reject this doctrine.
sadly, some today still follow this 16th century tradition of men, rather than the Apostolic Faith.
sadder still, they think it is the Holy Spirit leading them.
You think the RCC staying together and hiding its pedophiles in different locations is better?
Catholics and Muslims also have the veneration of Mary in common I do believe.
All it would take to bring those two groups into high tea together would be a couple of Mary apparitions..say, over Damascus, or hovering over the “well” in I’m-a-nut-job’ Iran. You know, just appealing for prayer for peace and unity and rosary indulgences. No big deal. Just coming together for world peace and unity...and the anti-christ smiles and polishes his shoes..getting ready for that big day..
The work of God the Holy Spirit is very real. It isn’t imaginary. When He works in us, it might not always be identified, because we might not be thinking of focusing on Him, but in our focus on glorifying Christ, His work is demonstrative.
It isn’t academic, but is is a very real spiritual life.
