Quick note: While i am sure the prohibition against bowing down to graven images is left out of some RC lists, it is in their Bible (the old 1609 DRB has "adore" for shâchâh,, which means "prostrate" and denotes worship, which is how the KJV normally has it) and CCC. God did have Israelite make an graven image as a cherubim in the Temple, as well as the bronze serpent in the wilderness, but outside such expresses commands, He forbade making to yourselves such, which is open to some interpretation as to how broad this is. And among oth4er differences, the Orthodox, also partly based on Tradition, are against three dimensional images as aids to worship. http://www.ocf.org/OrthodoxPage/reading/ortho_cath.html But the 1st day being the main day of worship precedes Nicene and begins in the N.T., as an old page of mine shows: http://peacebyjesus.witnesstoday.org/lawandgrace.html

(Thanks for mentioning shachach. Those of us who us Ps 95 as the Invitatory every day (and who know a little Hebrew) mention ritual prostrations daily. So that word is always rattling around my alleged brain.)
