FAITH! JESUS! LOVE! QUESTIONS TO ALL DENOMINATIONS!
holy spirit inspired | jesus4life

Amen

Grace and peace to all of you. I am very new to this site. The holy spirit brought me hear tonight to look over many answers here. To learn and to share.

I have questions here if anyone would be kind to take the time out to answer:

1. If we want evil to stop, why do speak of where it is, how to see it, where to see it, and when it may happen?

2. Do we really believe GOD sees all things and will handle all things?

3. If we revere Mary as the mother of GOD, why do we not copy her obedience??

4. If we believe in CHRIST as the son of GOD, who killed no one, loved everyone, and died for all. Why do we worry about dying?? Why do we want to kill others?? Why do we hate others? Why do we want to own land, take over other countries? Why do we want to judge others faith, walk, and lives before they die, knowing that GOD has power to save and can save anyone?

5. Do we believe heaven exists?? If so, where is it for all of you??

The holy spirit brought me to some passages for all of us to think about:

The love of Christ that we should live and show the world LUKE 6:27-36

27 'But I say this to you who are listening: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who treat you badly. 29 To anyone who slaps you on one cheek, present the other cheek as well; to anyone who takes your cloak from you, do not refuse your tunic. 30 Give to everyone who asks you, and do not ask for your property back from someone who takes it. 31 Treat others as you would like people to treat you. 32 If you love those who love you, what credit can you expect? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit can you expect? For even sinners do that much. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to get money back, what credit can you expect? Even sinners lend to sinners to get back the same amount. 35 Instead, love your enemies and do good to them, and lend without any hope of return. You will have a great reward, and you will be children of the Most High, for he himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked. 36 'Be compassionate just as your Father is compassionate.

Mary's love, obedience, and acceptance that we should all follow in situations that GOD can handle that we cant

Luke 1:29-39

29 She was deeply disturbed by these words and asked herself what this greeting could mean, 30 but the angel said to her, 'Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God's favour. 31 Look! You are to conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David; 33 he will rule over the House of Jacob for ever and his reign will have no end.' 34 Mary said to the angel, 'But how can this come about, since I have no knowledge of man?' 35 The angel answered, 'The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God. 36 And I tell you this too: your cousin Elizabeth also, in her old age, has conceived a son, and she whom people called barren is now in her sixth month, 37 for nothing is impossible to God.' 38 Mary said, 'You see before you the Lord's servant, let it happen to me as you have said.' And the angel left her. 39 Mary set out at that time and went as quickly as she could into the hill country to a town in Judah.

OUR LIVES HERE MARK 8:29-38

27 Jesus and his disciples left for the villages round Caesarea Philippi. On the way he put this question to his disciples, 'Who do people say I am?' 28 And they told him, 'John the Baptist, others Elijah, others again, one of the prophets.' 29 'But you,' he asked them, 'who do you say I am?' Peter spoke up and said to him, 'You are the Christ.' 30 And he gave them strict orders not to tell anyone about him. 31 Then he began to teach them that the Son of man was destined to suffer grievously, and to be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and to be put to death, and after three days to rise again; 32 and he said all this quite openly. Then, taking him aside, Peter tried to rebuke him. 33 But, turning and seeing his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said to him, 'Get behind me, Satan! You are thinking not as God thinks, but as human beings do.' 34 He called the people and his disciples to him and said, 'If anyone wants to be a follower of mine, let him renounce himself and take up his cross and follow me. 35 Anyone who wants to save his life will lose it; but anyone who loses his life for my sake, and for the sake of the gospel, will save it. 36 What gain, then, is it for anyone to win the whole world and forfeit his life? 37 And indeed what can anyone offer in exchange for his life? 38 For if anyone in this sinful and adulterous generation is ashamed of me and of my words, the Son of man will also be ashamed of him when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.'

OUR REAL HOME Revelations 21:1-8 1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; the first heaven and the first earth had disappeared now, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride dressed for her husband. 3 Then I heard a loud voice call from the throne, 'Look, here God lives among human beings. He will make his home among them; they will be his people, and he will be their God, God-with-them. 4 He will wipe away all tears from their eyes; there will be no more death, and no more mourning or sadness or pain. The world of the past has gone.' 5 Then the One sitting on the throne spoke. 'Look, I am making the whole of creation new. Write this, "What I am saying is trustworthy and will come true." 6 Then he said to me, 'It has already happened. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give water from the well of life free to anybody who is thirsty; 7 anyone who proves victorious will inherit these things; and I will be his God and he will be my son. 8 But the legacy for cowards, for those who break their word, or worship obscenities, for murderers and the sexually immoral, and for sorcerers, worshippers of false gods or any other sort of liars, is the second death in the burning lake of sulphur.'

Harley,
AMen. Again, I love the faith you have. When I start a statement with “ I believe”. It’s more speaking to all that are reading it. I say it in hopes that everyone does believe Jesus is GOD ( SON ). But, I am not sure, nor do I know if everyone does. Saying it this way does let me know by responses. GLAD THAT YOU DO!! This is one way to find out.
If you read any of my replies or posts, you can see that this is definitely my belief. I hope we are clear on that.

As far as your “ focus “ answer;

I agree with you. Did you read my full reply to you?? We are saying the same answer in the nut shell. ALL MEN ARE WICKED! But, that’s why WE can’t judge each other and Christ’s orders us to love all as we are all sinners/wicked/evil to the core without CHRIST! Only GOD can judge.

About Judas

Yes Jesus allowed Judas to come along with Him so the scripture can be fulfilled. Even though the disciples were curious who the betrayer was, because they wanted to stop him.

Same for us, JESUS said NOT TO KILL! But, we think we must do GOD’s judgement for HIM, but we cant. As we will be judged for killing. Just like many in the WORD were judged for killing. Jesus said to obey Him till He comes again; this is also fulfilling the gospel.

I’m afraid their fear of realizing they have been duped is greater then their love of Christ and truth.

It's something that I have concluded for quite some time now. We see it very clearly anytime even the smallest detail of "dogma" is disputed. No matter how many references of Scripture are shown, their conclusion boils down to it must be a problem with how we are "interpreting" the verses because their "Infallibly determined Infallible Magesterium" could not ever be wrong about anything. They have more twists and spins to explain it all than the best politicians could ever hope for.

I praise the Lord that he has seen fit to preserve his Divinely inspired Scriptures, not only in versions translated for the modern tongue, but also in the original languages manuscript copies that remain our references for full study. I didn't HAVE to learn Greek or Hebrew to be able to understand God's teachings that are just as relevant today as they were thousands of years ago.

Love your sensitivity. I used “ lost “ in the context he did. I was not saying he is lost. It was more a question of what is he lost about in the statement, post, or whatever he was saying he was lost on. That’s all. I was trying to understand him clearly.

It was a question. Not a statement. Not a judgement. Just a question.

But, Thanks for you opinion and your judgement on me. Which I hope was just a normal human emotional response because you thought I was calling somone ‘ lost”.
I pray that if you realize this is just a question and not a statement that you retract comment towards me in your heart. As it’s not good to call anyone “ lost”. But that retractment is between GOD and you.

I do have to say that I have never seen so much consideration paid to a Catholic before. Perhaps its a trend? You ought to remove posts 32, 33, 112, & 118 too unless the policy is that the reports of the conversion must be pulled but the denials and protestations are OK.

While you are at it you ought to remove the posts that attack me personally as well or do you too think the report was a "vile lie" (see post 150).

Amazing that you find it necessary to dispute even the smallest detail of dogma. How does that glorify Christ?

No matter how many references of Scripture are shown, their conclusion boils down to it must be a problem with how we are "interpreting" the verses

Not at all, Catholics have said many times that the Bible is not the complete story. Holy Tradition is also taken into account. Unlike protestants, we do not worship the Bible, nor do we worship Paul.

because their "Infallibly determined Infallible Magesterium" could not ever be wrong about anything. They have more twists and spins to explain it all than the best politicians could ever hope for.

Well, we don't fall for Doctor Billy Bob Rolex, and his Welch's and crumbled Saltines, that's for sure.

No, what's amazing to me is the aversion some Catholics have to admitting their leaders are NOT infallible. It is quite blatant when even a small detail of dogma is "off base" for disagreement. I find that eerily like a form of mind control or brainwashing. Not unlike certain cults that are around even today.

Not at all, Catholics have said many times that the Bible is not the complete story. Holy Tradition is also taken into account. Unlike protestants, we do not worship the Bible, nor do we worship Paul.

Well there's the problem. Some Catholics place their "Holy Tradition" ABOVE Holy Scripture and that is just not right. ESPECIALLY when some of those "unwritten" traditions contradict Scripture. BTW...you may want to drop the "Unlike protestants...worship the Bible...Paul". It does nothing to enhance your credibility since that is clearly a nonsensical thing to say. See, I preface my comments by saying "some Catholics", because I know that not all think the same about certain things. Speaking for myself and some others with whom I converse we don't worship the Bible and we certainly don't worship Paul.

Now that I think about it, it's kind of funny that a catholic is putting down someone who they say worships the Bible, but that same catholic may worship "Holy Tradition" and their "Holy Magesterium". They may also worship Mary and other "saints" including St. Paul!

Well, we don't fall for Doctor Billy Bob Rolex, and his Welch's and crumbled Saltines, that's for sure.

That's another tired out, thread bare saying. You may not fall for Doctor Billy Bob Rolex, but put a collar on him and call him "Father" or "Your Holiness" and whatever comes out of his mouth is considered the absolute truth. I realize the "Welch's and crumbled Saltines" is probably meant as an insult but it falls flat simply because I know that even grape juice and stale crackers can symbolize the most powerful soul lesson Jesus ever gave us. That the juice was "his blood" shed for our sins - paid for them IN FULL - and the tiniest piece of bread symbolized "his body" which was broken for us. When we partake of these we are "showing the Lord's death until he comes". I HIGHLY doubt it matters to him what the elements are more than what they represent to us and that we are reminded of the greatest act of mercy, grace and love. I don't think he is offended in the least!

So, if someone doesn't believe the way you do, it's because they are brainwashed? ROFL!!! Not credible.

Speaking for myself and some others with whom I converse we don't worship the Bible and we certainly don't worship Paul.

You say you don't worship the Bible, but you consider it infallible in all its translations and interpretations, and consider Paul's words above Christ's? Looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck. Must be a duck.

You evidently know nothing about Catholics or priests. Parishionerd regularly dispute with parish priests especially on matters of doctrine. No Cahtolic I know is intimidated by a collar. Most are barely respectful. Some are openly critical Again, get a clue.

It’s a good source. They use that Greek word usage because it’s how the Catholic Church mesmerizes them. The jump from “full of grace” to sinless is amazing. The same grace is given to each of us and we certainly are not sinless. I’m afraid their fear of realizing they have been duped is greater then their love of Christ and truth.

They don't have anything...

They admittedly do not believe that Salvation is by grace thru faith, without works...That's foolishness to them...

They mock us when we talk about the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in ALL believers...

They criticize us for looking for that Blessed Hope, the return of Jesus, hopefully in our lifetimes...

Those are the marks of a 'natural man'...

1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Their religion is 'outside' of what we base our Christianity on, the Bible...They even admit they are not a religion of the Book...They are a religion of something other than the Book...

Their entire history is based upon the Philosophy of the natural man...And to connect to Christianity, they of course must invent things to convince their converts that they are a 'Christian' religion...

>>You do not have the same grace as that given to Mary. Sorry, you just don't qualify.<<

I hope you don’t mind if I take Jesus words over yours.

"Blessed is the womb that bore you and the breasts that nursed you!" but he said "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it." (Lk 11:27-28)

>>Truth according to YOU.<<

No Judith Anne, according to Jesus. In fact it would appear that Jesus was saying we are more blessed.

>> Not according to the teaching authority of my church.<<

Does your church not believe Jesus own words in the above verse?
