Years ago had a dog - REAL smart dog. Friends coming to the door would get a low woof - early warning door-knocker.
Strangers (deliveries, salesmen, etc.) would get two or three loud barks as they came up the drive.
The first time she went ballistic it was just weird. Constant loud barking, snarls, rushing the door (a big dog), had to grab her by the collar and block her but she kept barking. It was Jehovah Witnesses.
She did that same thing again a year or so later - it was the Mormans. Weirdest thing.
Like I said - she was a smart dog!
