I’m feeling old. You are talking 2000 years and 3 changes. At Advent I’ll have witnessed 3 changes just in my lifetime!
As a convert at my marriage, I used (1) a Latin/English translation. Then, at Vatican II were got a pure English translation and liturgy (2). I remember that the experts told us not to invest in a new Missal at that time because they were still tweaking it. Then, after many years, I finally purchased my very own Sunday Missal.
Now, we’ll be asked to switch to a new form in November (3). I wonder when the missals for the laity will be ready to purchase?
Fortunately I’m still able to use the missle that existed before 1962.
Hand missals should be ready in November. http://search1.aquinasandmore.com/?N=4660&Ns=3
You can buy them now. Depending on the publisher you choose, some are shipping now, and some aren't going to be shipping until early November.
