John, the 14 year old son of my daughter's friend and co-worker, hung himself two days ago. When he was found, he still had a heartbeat and has been in intensive care, with no brain activity.
Tonight, the family prepared to remove him from life support, but brain activity has started, and they are asking for prayers.
If you read this, please pray for him and his family. I will post any updates I receive on this thread.

Oh, yorkie, what a sad and tragic situation for that fanily! They must be devastated that one so young would do such a thing.
Dear L-rd, whatever has happened in this child’s life to cause such pain and such sadness, replace it with the knowledge that he is so loved and so cherished that his inner wounds will heal as much as his outer wounds.
And help this family to overcome this challenge and become whole.

I am so sorry this happened. I have placed him in the Blessed Virgins Immaculate Heart for safekeeping and my prayers are up for this child, his family and friends. God bless you all.

One of my son’s friends almost a year ago did this. Found out later that it was more likely the “asphyxiation game” and not a suicide attempt. Praying that your friends have a greatly better outcome than what happened here (he was such a sweet kid too, with such an involved and lovely family, and so church-involved). So many prayers for you and your friends.

I swallowed my embarrassment and discussed this with each of my sons. They didn’t want to hear it but I warned them anyway.
Caught this just as I was logging off. I will be praying for this child and his family.
