{Moslem} Brotherhood: Alawite elite waging sectarian war in Syria

The Muslim Brotherhood on Sunday accused the Syrian Alawite elite of waging sectarian warfare on Sunnis by attacking Hama, after at least 80 people were killed there in a bloody crackdown earlier in the day.

"Syria is witnessing a war of sectarian cleansing. The regime has linked its open annihilation with the crescent of Ramadan. It is a war on the identity and beliefs of the Syrian nation ... on Arab Muslim Syria," the Brotherhood said in a statement.

Bashir Assad is an Alawite. The details of their religion are murky and they do not generally reveal it to others, however they are noted to believe in a trinity and use a form of the eucharist with wine

The Moslems consider them heretics

======================================================

But for me, if the Moslem Brotherhood say some one is wrong, well then I support that someone...

As bad as it is for the civilians in Syria the conflict is much broader. There's Shi'a Iran on one side and the Sunnis on the other. And Bahrain is part of conflict.

"Here the Turkish government may be able to help, for they turned against Assad even before the U.S. did. The Turks were pursuing their own interests, seeking to displace Iran as the outside power most influential in Syria. But they also don't want to see a Syrian civil war that could, among other things, produce a massive refugee flow across their borders. Messages from Turkish officials to the Alawite military establishment can help persuade them not to sacrifice their future in a vain effort to save the Assad mafia. The message, and the tougher it is the better: 'Make your choice now. Are you going to be war criminals or survivors?'"

I wouldn’t support either side. This is tribal warfare. One tribe just controls the big guns. I would advocate for the people that want the socialist dictator and his thugs removed.

Alawis attack the Sunnis. Sunnis and Shias attack each other. Sunnis and Shias attack the Druze. Everyone attacks the Christians and Jews.

I support the Alawis purely because they protect the Christians.

“I support the Alawis purely because they protect the Christians.”

They protect their cronies (Christians, Jews included) that do what they are told like that Syrian Orthodox bishop that mouthed off about Israel recently. Saddam was the exact same way.

How many Christians have been killed by the Syrian military in Lebanon? They just recently rounded up a bunch of Syrian Jews and charged them with spying for Israel.
