Yes, it is certainly possible to be a good Catholic and enjoy humor. Even at tonight’s Mass, with a bid flying around inside, the Deacon remarked that the Holy Spirit had entered the Church.

Having spent 8 years being educated by Jesuit priests and still keeping company with them, I can certainly testify about the joy and mirth of well-grounded faith.

That said, I wouldn’t mind if more than a handful of Jesuits would publically defend that faith, as was their original mission. If they want to use humor in their missionary efforts, more power to them!

You’re lucky - all the Jesuits that make it up here to NH - spend their time preaching social ‘justice’ and why Catholics shouldn’t be afraid to embrace ‘hope’ and work for ‘change’ - hint! hint!

Their original mission was to defend the faith and obey the Pope. Their mission now is to oppose American capitalism and defy the Pope.
