So you think you can do this on your own?
Isn’t that the mistake the atheists make?
Don’t know, but I do know I won’t attend one on a weekly basis that does not met my spiritual needs, or beliefs.
Went to church with my baby sis last Sunday, Assembly of God, they went contemporary, and the preacher spent more time rebel rousing begging for money (in a broke church) to open a Mexican Ministry than in preaching God’s word. Band was so loud with their nearly endless contemporary praise choruses (no songs) that I left with a massive headache, and a feeling I had not been in church at all. BTW the preacher had driven off most of the older parishioners in the few months he’s been their my sis said.
In the process of looking for a new church home, which is traditional with a little contemporary thrown in and where the preacher preaches, not just begs. There are more than one generation in a church, which most of them have forgotten and you have to come to a middle of the road with the music. I like the traditional songs, not just these praise choruses they try to pass off as ‘making a joyful noise’ today.
Our Great, great grands didn’t always have a church, all they had was their faith and their Bible. And maybe once in a while a traveling minister on a mule.
