I remember - “One small step for man” ....BANG! Our TV blew up. Got struck by lightning. Or, more accurately, the antenna did.
It was years before my mother would allow a TV in the house.
hee hee hee
I spent 14 years in NM. While I was there got to know Jack Schmidt (the only civilian to walk on the moon), my wife and his mother were friends from church. And my wife worked to help get him re-elected as U.S. Senator (he lost to Jeff Bingaman- slime)
Many of my Ham Op friends worked at the labs or for the military. I truly enjoyed their friendship and company. Many great techs.
In our local lodge we have a member who retired from NASA in Houston. He is due a 60 year pin. Good fellow.
I miss my techie friends from NM and AZ but I do not miss the political mess that was in place in NM. Very corrupt.
For a few years I was a city councilman in a town of about 10,000. That was an education.
Later I was Republican County Chairman, another education.
Have not been politically involved like that since 1986. But I still watch closely. The enemies of a free people are still present.
I can smell them a mile away. hee hee hee
Have a good evening, I must get some rest. Busy day tomorrow.
My wife’s mother has lived with us for the past year. She has not walked in 1-1/2 years. Since before we lost my father-in-law.
We have very good help, but it is still a load. 24/7 is pretty hard.
We also cook for my parents. The live by themselves, but have health issue. Mom has a lymphoma cancer and has had chemo. She got down to 75 lbs. but is back up over 100 lbs. now. My father had quadruple bypass surgery about 4 months ago, but is doing very well for 85.
Have a good evening my FRiend.

False. My statement is a truthful report. Narrow is the way to God. Denial of Jesus Christ denies the Father. Refusing a believer from testifying his faith in Christ denies both the Son and the Father. Such is the advocacy of the masonic brotherhood, out of step with faith in Christ. They shall become a footstool to Him.
And you know this how...? Every Mason of my acquaintance is a Bible-thumping, Christ-believing Trinitarian Christian, including myself. I know thousands of Masons. How did all of them slip by your little proscription, sir?
Prayer for you and your family.
I have no doubt that you are truthly recounting what you have been told -- I do not doubt your sincerity.
I simply stated that the information you had received was erroneous. Believers are fully allowed to testify their belief in salvation through faith in Jesus Christ when asked regarding those beliefs.
And they ARE asked.
I still say Elvis did not earn or attain a Black Belt but rather, he bought it.
It is illegitimate.
So is the so “1st woman Mason”.
They and we do not make our own rules. They violated the laws/ by laws of their lodge and that of all other lodges.
She is a fraud.
LOL
I have no idea where you are copying this crap from but women have never been allowed to become Masons there is absolutely no worship of Satan nor is there any of this so called down is up baloney.
I understand your difficult responsibilities.
I take care of a friend who turned 101 on July 6th.
Really tough to take care of an adult and everywhere you go you have to watch for potential danger.
I will not walk into a room or building, with her, until I have 1st been in that building and reviewed potential hazards to her or asked for them to be cleared.
Like moving through quicksand some days.
I think babies and children would be faster/easier, maybe. If they fall it’s okay. If my friend falls it’s going to be terrible and I would never let it happen.
She use to hate that I was always right there but these days she understands and asks me to watch her closely, as her legs give way when she stands or her coordination isn’t so great or she just plain needs some help with simple tasks.
I also have interperet converstation and keep her laughing as her hearing doesn’t allow for ambient noises. Once there is too many sounds it all crashes. She recognizes my voice and that of another friend through almost anything.
I once claimed I would not cry for her but be happy when God calls her home. I never cried for my grandparents. I was happy for them as they died way old and of a full life.
But, I wonder with all the time spent and the many little things we have to do if a part of me won’t be yanked out.
Still, I will be happy for her. She is truly blessed and continues to live fully with family and friends, who visit very often even though they are out of state.
Nope.
You wholely misinformed.
We open and close our Lodge with prayers and we acknowledge God at the beginning and the end.
Same at any other meeting prayers and Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
You have zero idea of what you are saying and are repeating false hoods from others who have no knowledge.
For our lodge, we would never deny the Christian God as our Master and Jesus as our savior. As far as I know there are no other religions in our lodge. Otherwise, our prayers and invocations might be more generic as they are in other lodges. But even then, the person leading prayers chooses the invocation and we respect them.
I started laughing when I saw your post.
Not only are the members of my lodge Bible clinging, gun carriers, they are also LEO, former LEO, Navy, the Sheriff of our very large county(21 years before he retired).
In mine, Green Berets, 82nd Airborne, deputies and LEOs. We have an attendance problem because so many are either doing two shifts as cops or are deployed.
I sympathise.
This is not the first time we have cared for family members.
When my grandmother was 96 she had a heart attack and the doctors told her she could no longer live alone. She had been alone for 16 years at that point, since my grandfather died. My father and uncle checked on her every morning and night, she lived at the farm and they would check on here when they came to work in the morning and when they left in the evening. Also many times take her to lunch.
After she had the heart attack my wife and I spent ever night with her and cooked her meals. We did not move in, but had several changes of clothes and stayed with her every night and most of the day.
After about a year doing that my son had an accident on a horse and broke his back. My wife and I had to care for him at that point so we handed my grandmother off to my father. He had her in his home for about 9 months before she had to go to a nursing home.
We have done what you do and understand the responsibility.
Best regards my FRiend

And when asked and stated such, I was instructed as a Freemason, I was not allowed to say I believed in God through faith in Christ.
While I tend to think many believers might be participants in Freemasonry and nothing in that environment can deny a believer from having fellowship with God, I also observe many worldly mechanisms in Freemasonry to deceive believers into stepping out of fellowship with God. Neither have I ever observed anything in Freemasonry to promote a believer to remain in fellowship with God or to return to God through faith in Christ if he is out of fellowship.
Conversely, there are many occultic and Satanic temptations, act and simple devil worship promoted in Masonic rituals.
If there are some lodges which promote brotherly work amongst believers with fellowship in Christ prior to that of their brotherhood, then I applaud their dedication.
I do share with my fellow believers that there are many in Masonry who place their brotherhood above Christ, and advance in that brotherhood by many criminal and antichristian mechanisms, even seeking to loose bound demons to advance their arrogant agendas, while pursuing what is right in their own minds, thinking their good works will advance their future rewards even when denying obedience to Jesus Christ and the Plan of God the Father in their agendas.
I see your indignation regards perceived affront upon Masonry than explicit assault upon faith in Christ.
I also found my mistake about Lenin's mother and posted that.
It was the fact that Lenin's grandmother [Anna] attended Lodge Meetings. I thought that meant she was a member.
From post 60:
I was under the impression that if one was a Rainbow Girl, one was a mason. However, Rainbow Girls are a community service organization. I guess I was mistaken about this because of Lee Meriwether. This actress was/is a member of Rainbow Girls.
I also left out that Rainbow Girls are JUST a service organization.
Sorry.
Walt Disney and Red Skelton are two Freemasons that I have great respect for.
Maybe when people think of Freemasonry in the US, they should think of Walt Disney, and what he stood for.
The comedian/actor Red Skelton would always close his TV show with: "God night and may God bless".
LBJ would be an example of US Freemason that would be one that is a person who did great damage to this country.
