It is based on scripture...God tells us much of creation was made after its kind...Birds made after Gen. 1:2 were made like the birds before Gen. 1:2...The only thing that was made differently was man...For the first time, God created a being in His image, man...
God tells Adam to 'replenish' the earth...That means to fill again...

it's like your post above adding the word "new" to earth and heavens -- does your group think that God recreated heaven many times?
May have created and recreated hundreds of times, or just once...He didn't tell us...
