Interesting point, I hadn't thought of it. In the past there have been churches that burned people at the stake for not holding to the State religion. Wouldn't we have to ban them as well?

It wouldn't apply here. That happened in the Old World, and has no application for the US. Furthermore, it can be argued that whereas capital punishment does presently exist in Islam, it does not exist in Christianity. The issue of Islamic violence has always been rebuffed by its appologists: but now we have a nation's Supreme Court on record issuing capital punishment merely for evangelizing. In my opinion, Iran has the sovereign right to do so: but in doing so it exposes Islam for what it is, at its core doctrine. And that is the case that needs to be made in each state house in the United States.
