The Twilight saga is actually about the Mormon belief in eternal marriage.
The Twilight series, by Mormon author Stephanie Meyers, is an allegory for the Mormon concept of "celestial marriage" - the belief that a couple that is "sealed" in a Mormon temple will stay bound together forever...
Edward and Bella's bond is sealed when Edward bites Bella. As with a Mormon marriage, there's no turning back for Bella, who is transformed into a vampire for eternity.

He only went to jail a couple of years ago. But since then u are right troll has posted he served a mission in Japan in the 1980’s, so he’s an old roll.
lol
Glad I could provide you with so much fodder today.
I am very happy in my faith and would never consider changing.

Of course he is. Mormonism feeds the flesh. It feeds feelings of self-righteousness and superiority (much of what we have seen on this thread by the LDS poster), makes them feel in charge of their destiny (godhood), and encourages them to be condescending to others since they think they are the only ones who have the truth.
Mormonism feeds sin, pure and simple. And that makes people, without Christ, feel very good indeed. It is also a way Satan holds on to them and keeps them from the truth.
He would probably have a high priest condemn him for his grooming and deny him the opportunity to pass out communion.[Greyfoxx]
Well, he certainly wouldn't be able to get into BYU!
I believe that being accessories to "lyin' for the Lard" would be considered exemplary behavior in battling the dreaded apostates. Prolly had an announcement in PH meeting recommending this new "service" along with emails.
That certainly makes sense. Certain use of language is a dead giveaway. Seems we see and hear certain familiar phrases. Bad usage by one individual sometimes gets perfect BTW.

I can hardly keep up with the ones we GOT!
And how would our good friend Greg West be able to skim even MORE MORMON writings?
Speaking of witch...

The punk is in the frosting,
and the fodder is in shock.
I have it on good authority that JESUS ate MEAT when the weather was warm...
Well of course he did, he didn’t have the benefit of ‘continuing revelation’ by a prophet in SLC.
Well, it does matter that it is using the Lord's name in vain. Otherwise, I agree with you. :-)
Yes, yes I have. Wonder why? Could it be because they are violating their precious Word of Wisdom?
OK, now I think you’ve got it right. I totally believe the full-time higher ups are getting paid (at least I hope so for their sakes :) and I knew about the clerk thing from several other sources. I have no bishop data from before 1981 so I can’t comment authoritatively there.
As to not challenging the others, I have such a limited amount of time to play here that I can only afford to spend it where I really care and/or can actually contribute. The stridency of both extremes tends to grate, although by averaging them together you can actually get a pretty clear picture. So keep on keeping on!
He is blessed to have you as a friend.
My main gripe is how they demand to know where do I get my information from. Then they tell me that it is not a reputable source. I even had one tell me that the website for the LDS Church had been hacked and misleading information put into it!
One last question, I read somewhere that young missionaries, when confronted by a Bible-believing Christian report to their counselor who explains to them how mistaken the Christian was, and stops them from returning to that Christian's home. Is that true? It's been almost a year since the last Mormons visited. I asked them in, offered them something to drink, and got into a very animated discussion of Mormon beliefs... They got up and almost ran out of the house, with me calling out to remember Galatians 1:8. They never came back and that was NOT my intention. As a stay-home mom I don't have many opportunities to witness to lost people, so I like it when Mormons or Jehovah's Witnesses knock at the door. At least the JW return, usually with an older person, but those Mormon boys never came back!
Pardon if I pipe in here.
The “reputable source” issue is a mormon’s primary backfire mechanism to negate evidences and proofs against mormonism. They have been taught that anything outside of mormon circles is false. So it is a hard hill to climb, but it is possible.
Big objections on citations from “Journal of Discourses”, never mind that if these teachings by their prophets and apostles are ‘opinion’, that they then were teaching false doctrines.
However, the allegation that lds.org has been hacked is a new one to me.
Probably one of the most important points is to establish definitions of words and phrases used. When you say “salvation” for instance, it doesn’t mean the same to a Christian as it does a mormon - so in the mormon mind, the definition scrolls to that of mormonism, not necessarily what you had intended on meaning.
If you cite from the Bible (KJV), the bom, D&C and the POGP, they have little grounds for argument. Use online resources such as www.utlm.org; www.irr.org; www.4witness.org; among other high standard sites to assist in the understanding of these other mormon scriptures and how to use them to show mormonism to be false.
BTW, don’t give up on the invites - you’re doing it right!
Thanks, I really appreciate your suggestions. I will keep on trying, I just hope my house is not marked as a “don’t go”!
