You need to work more on that 'high priest' voice ben. Not quite nasal enough.

Careful, Z....you are letting yourself in for "I rebuke you in the name of the melchizedik priesthood which I hold"....

Do you tell anyone who disagrees with a belief of yours that they “hate” you?

That’s what you’re doing here. We disagree with your religion, it is criticism of mormonISM. It is not “hate” towards the members to reveal the truth, however bitter it may be for them.

“Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfills the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things.”
Winston Churchill

Nah, he’s just trying to be cute by making a puerile comment without addressing any of the salient and relevant points made in my post(s).

Are they LDS or RLDS?

The reason I ask is RLDS has changed and discarded a lot of Smith’s teachings and wouldn’t have the same hymnal, and IIRC they do not have either of those songs in their hymnal, at least not their current one.

Even PD was a bit more eloquent than this one. I’m thinking BYU troll.

So, are you gonna show me hatred or just keep attacking me without basis or apology? [Reaganaut, #209]

Notice that there isn’t any actual rebuttal to our comments or arguments, just ad hominum attacks - a sure sign they can’t carry the debate. [Reaganaut, #211]

On December 20, 2009, benny boy told Nosterrex: We are not afraid to discuss our beliefs in the slightest. (Post #13) Biblical terms redefined by Mormons

So that was over 18 months ago. And he's yet to put his beliefs where his keyboard keys are as far as FR is concerned. So it's not like I'm breathlessly waiting for him to be able to actually back up his surfacy comments with any measure of depth. [Remember, if Harry Reid and that BYU student who tried to abduct a woman he was teaching can be Lds home teachers, just think of the qualifications for Sunday School teachers]

'Tis appears that Benny boy's just a Utah-based insulated Mormon...perhaps just happy to interact with the 60% fellow Mormons there...FREEPER-wise, he's yet to get beyond that shell.

And failing at it.

Although threads like this go a very long way in getting people to rethink their admiration of Mormons and for us that is good.

We have to pray, SZ, we were once just as lost as our friend here and just as blinded by Mormonism.

Always do, no matter how vitriolic they may get.

Just like you all were probably doing for me when I got ugly with CC before I left mormonism.

I've walked a few miles in those shoes...

Since they are in the process of creating a new hymnal it will be interesting to see if they kept those. I am pretty sure that Praise to the Man was in the earlier ones but I have no idea if Kolob has ever been used by them.

It will be interesting indeed. Please keep us posted.

just think of the qualifications for Sunday School teachers

- - - - - -
That’s easy, there are none, well except for gullibility, being a full tithepayer, and having the Bishop like you enough to ‘call’ you to it, but not well enough to ‘call’ you to a better calling like ward clerk or counselor or Priesthood leader.

I was a Sunday School teacher as well when I was Mormon. No biggie.

Definitely a retread IMO...not sure which one. There were several who just oozed with vitriol similar to this one.

Keep feeding the troll...he's making SUCH a good case for "the nicest people in the world".

You know the more vitriolic and ugly they get, the more likely they are to leave in my experience. It shows a weakness in their testimony.

They always do Grey. Like ‘you know who’ they do a great job for our side. I’m thinking we have a candidate for FI of the week here.

The LDS are afraid at looking at facts, instead they rely on their feelings.

Indeed, what we see here is a form of projection - unable to address the impossible and conflicting nature of their doctrines - their only hope is to project onto others what they are 'feeling'. The unpleasantness is avoided and their 'burden' is vicariously placed on another.

You are probably correct. Sometimes I get the feeling that there is a note book somewhere where mormons look at bullet points and just run down the list with their responses. Problem arrises when they run outa the points, then they resort to “you hate” so I think I’ll eat worms response.
