i am old schooled... believe, don’t believe. don’t expect to change what others believe.

“gayness” does not breed gays... it is a choice that goes against nature.

These people fail, utterly FAIL, to see that what is preached aginst is not a person, but a behavior, an activity.

It is sad that people will so link an activity to what they are.

Homosexuality, not the homosexual, is an abomination before God. The behavior, not the person.

Good question.

The message from the Globe is clear: gay ‘marriage’ is good, faithful Catholicism is bad.
///
they wish to destroy the church, just as Mexico tried to do, when they outlawed it.
(progressives here, drool at the memory...)
.

“Even though the hierarchy has gone astray from the times of Christ, I’m not going to let them take my church away from me.’’

just as with any organization, including professional sports, there are rules for members. if you don’t want to play by the rules, leave!

Here’s what (OCA) Orthodox Bishop Michael of New York and New Jersey had to say about the new New York law:

Well I’m not Catholic but I agree that homosexual acts are “acts of grave depravity”.

This is an orchestrated attack on the Catholic Church because the Catholic Church has not backed down to the homosexual agenda. Just wait. The homo-nazis will start attacking any other religious body that refuses to back down. This was planned. All these "devout gay Catholics" are enemies of the church, and any more "Devout Orthodox Jews" or "Devout Protestants" will be similar enemies. In wartime sometimes the enemy will don a uniform of the other side in order to perform stealth operations. That's all this is. Stealth destruction.

For the video, the paper interviews two gay men who attend Boston's aforementioned St. Cecilia. Both men not only rail against Church teaching but explicitly say that a main reason that they remain active parishioners is to "change the Church."

Change the Church in what way?

To convince it to accept openly homosexual clergy, perhaps? Would that be a part of their agenda?

Too late. We've already tried it and are still sifting through the wreckage and picking up the pieces. Billions of dollars in abuse settlements later, I think we can safely say that the Catechism is right. Homosexuality is disordered.

No thanks.

The same Boston Globe which broke the news of the abuse scandals, the great majority of which involved same sex molestation, now chides the Church for being "anti-gay".

I hope you're all following closely, here. When male Catholic priests abuse young men.....bad Catholic Church!! When the Catholic Church preaches that sodomy is an act of "grave depravity".........bad Catholic Church!!

As the guy in the American Airlines commercial likes to say.... it's a "win-win situation!!"

The church’s position runs so counter to the growing acceptance of same-sex relationships

I found this sentence particularly interesting. The writer notes that it's the church that's running counter, rather than the sin running counter to the church's teachings. It's as though he's suggesting that the church is somehow in the wrong for not caving to a changing society.

And anyone who thinks that God should change His moral laws just because society changes its attitudes about those laws is a fool. God is not mocked.

Instead of this constant, “Me,Me,Me” and it's not fair hissy fit crap. Do this, quit the Church and start your own religion. That way you get what you want and you can show us how tolerant and Superior you are. What you say? I am not getting it? Sure I am, it's all about what you want, not what any one else wants. But your the more tolerant. I guess the Gays are feeling super confident. I actually thought they would wait a bit before starting the next phase of there plan.

I just don’t get it.

They claim to be Catholic. Being Catholic means accepting all that the church teaches, believing it to be TRUTH without ERROR. Why then do they want to change it?

One receives the Eucharist because one is Catholic, one is not Catholic merely because they go to communion.

Well, I am shocked and outraged that the queers are violating the first amendment by inserting their POLITICAL views into my RELIGION.

We need to change the argument. Marriage is not a legal institution, it is a Christian sacrament and a religious rite. My husband and I didn’t get married for legal reasons, we got married because it is a covenant between us and God. Any legal protections (given for the protections of children anyway) stem from the fact that it was a Sacrament first.

By the queers (and I know enough to know they are all queer) insisting on gay marriage they are making a political pawn out of my faith and that is government interference in religion.

I watched an excellent show earlier today on EWTN regarding this topic.

This link takes you to the Ruth Institute home page. On the right side of the page is a link to the program.

“Marriage: Love and Life in the Divine Plan Family Conference,”

Well worth watching.

I will gladly accept my persecution for my Roman Catholic faith. My Church is built on The Rock and it will never back down to this evil. Thank you, Lord!
