Islam: What Catholics Should Know
I was privileged to be present when an imam showed us the inflections he had learned, and, as he moved through the recitive, I was reminded of our Gregorian chant, which also has its pauses, inflections and distinctive rhythm and premodern notation based on the range of the human voice with no accompaniment. I am struck by the absolute grasp of and reverence for the Quran communicated by Muslims. The name Allah, after all, is simply the Arabic word for “God,” the one God of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

MOST Catholics know that Islam is an evil cult.
there is only ONE God, whether you are Christian, Jew, Muslim or athiest. Catholics teach and believe this ONE God is three persons, the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Muslims reject the Trinity, and of course, the divinity of JESUS. So, the Muslim god is not the God worshipped by Catholics.
I think we are on the same side here — against Islam. I was pointing out that the Sacred Book in the picutre with Blessed John Paul II was NOT the Koran.
