Thanks, it was my fault, not yours.

But, while you’re here, I have a question and don’t know where to get the answer. Perhaps you can help.

I am very hearing impaired and cannot hear Mass at all at church. I have permission to attend Mass on my computer. That way, I can hear some of it but not all. I depend on my missal for the Readings and Gospel.

But, when it comes to the Eucharistic Prayer there are 4 choices for Sunday Mass. I can never figure out which one the priest is using. Does the priest have the choice or is there a strict guide for which Eucharistic Prayer is said on a particular Sunday? My missal has no guidance about that. It does have a listing of the Eucharistic Prayers with the first words of each one, but I can rarely hear the first words and get to the proper page in my missal.

The priest has the choice. Our priest has changed the Eucharistic prayer during Eastertide several times — but it is still connected with Easter.

He is also very apt to use one of the new Eucharistic Prayers that concentrate on Reconciliation.

I’m sending you a private mail about what our parish does for people who have difficulty hearing.
