Mrs. 2ndDivisionVet had seemed to be getting better since her stroke last April, but now she's having a lot of difficulty speaking and sometimes cannot talk or think of words. Besides that, I'm having trouble keeping my blood sugar and weight under control and sleep apnea, blood pressure and heart problems are getting worse. Please remember us in your thoughts and prayers, if you would.

You have my prayers. If I may share something I’ve learned from being diabetic, your sleep apnea is probably caused by high blood sugar. If you can get your blood sugar down before going to bed, your sinuses will dry up, and the sleep apnea will go away. You’ll also make fewer trips to the restroom. I think all of it is just the body trying to deal with the excess sugar. I’m presently taking 3,000 milligrams of Metformin a day, and insulin when I need it. A strict diet keeps my blood sugar under control, but when it takes a jump, I take the insulin, and I check it every night.
God bless you and your wife. A few years ago my wife began having difficulties, some slurred speech and confusion. We don’t know if it was stress or a mild stroke, but a month long trip to Pensacola to visit the grandchildren cured her. I hope your wife recovers.
