The story of Afshin Javid, a former member of Hezbollah who had a powerful encounter with Jesus in prison that shifted his whole life. Today he is a pastor and powerful speaker who uses his story to help others reach out to their neighbor.
Where there is life, there is hope. Praise be to God for one very lost sheep being found!
I wonder how many Gitmo prisoners turned to Christ???
How did he have access to Christian materials? The ACLU will be incensed and sue!
Oh, what, Christ the Lord is more powerful than the ACLU? /duh
Thank you Julia. Well worth the time.
Quite a story. He saw an English Bible and did not know English, yet he was still able to read it! Our Father is an awesome God!
The Bible teaches us to try the spirits to see if they are from God. To test them. This man appears to me to pass that test.
Indeed Alamo-Girl.
I have to admit I am very cautious, in the times we live, of new conversions to Christ. Even with understanding that God determines how He will reveal Himself in the various cultures and peoples, and this may vary in how Westerners learn of Christ... still I am cautious.
Sometimes it seems in our country it’s all about material blessings or rubbing a magic lamp in how the churches are presenting Christ, rather than seeking Christ for forgiveness. This man however surely came to the place where he saw his sin before a righteous and Holy God. A wonderful testimony.
Well and truly said, dear sister in Christ!
Wow. Thanks for posting this.
It is a moving video.
Our church had a recent visit by one of our Missionaries to the country of Chad. The way he confronts Muslims and often starts them on the road to their conversion, is he tells them he will give them 10 minutes to tell him all the wonderful things about Mohammad, if they would allow him to do the same about the wonderful things about Jesus. This ALWAYS stumps them, because there is nothing wonderful about him they can think of. Its all religious edict and threats of punishment. The ones that do accept Christ have their homes and property taken away and are treated horribly - but yet they come. Praise God.
Really? What was jesus in for?
Thanks for sharing!! Praise Jesus!!!
