Yeah,

I see a marked qualitative difference between

telling it like it is—calling a spade a spade about
horrific blasphemy; horrific idolatry; . . . gross hypocrisy and sin . . . etc.

vs

personal pique; personal sensibilities jangled; pet personal convictions jangled; personal prideful interpretations jangled; organizational idolatries jangled;

We each have to be and will definitely be accountable to God for how we assess, judge . . . others.

Lots of things are not as they seem. Some are.

Paula what’s-her-face jangles some of my sensibilities. I’m embarrassed by her. I think she and Hinn and a list of others have disgraced God and The Gospel in a list of ways.

NEVERTHELESS, it is STILL very hazardous to get on a PERSONAL HIGH HOBBY HORSE out of a PERSONAL pique, self-righteousness etc. and in fleshly critical judgment judge her or the Pope or the pedophile priests or anyone else.

Sometimes the line does seem thin. When it’s thin, the hazards are multiplied.

THE ATTITUDES AND MOTIVES OF THE HEART ARE SUPER CRUCIAL TO BE RIGHT BEFORE GOD IN SUCH MATTERS.

In my experience, those quickest to dogpile onto a rock-throwing brigade are those who’ve never had their own sins and sinfulness rubbed relentlessly into their noses, face, hearts, minds, lives.

In a sense, Jim Baker was exceedingly right. PRISON WAS GOD’S GRACE TO HIM. It brought him to himself; to his knees; to humility and vulnerability before God—and to a quality of Salvation and brokenness and contriteness before God he’d not ever have experienced otherwise.

We are ALL sinful creatures. Scripture says that those who think otherwise are deceived liars.

Scripture says we all see through the glass darkly.

Scripture says we all fall short of The Gospel.

In a sense, such facts could silence all of us from saying any exhortive, negative thing about anyone, to any degree, for any reason.

Yet, God and His Word require us to warn a brother; speak the truth in love; exhort the faithful and the sinner; cry the alarm etc.

That can be a frightfully humbling mandate given all the givens.

Yet, God also classes cowards with the homosexuals and others condemned.

At some point, there’s no hiding, shirking from the tasks of affirmation, declaration God calls us to. And, yes, the best preachers I’ve ever known could often be seen preaching at themselves and noting it in the process.

In my case, I can only earnestly seek to write as God lays it on my heart as best as I can discern such and deliver such to the reader. I know I’ll miss the mark of the high calling frequently. Yet, I must press on. God knows my heart. He knows my desire to be right before Him; to Love Him and others—including all the RC’s hereon.

Life and reality = a multi-dimensional mine field of values, truth, deceptions, hypocrisies etc.

Yet, into the fray God calls us and places us all.

Those who cannot discern the difference between flesh-driven, personal/organizational idolatrous pique rock throwing vs

declaring Biblical and reality truth out of a good heart and motivation . . .

probably should shut-up until they can.

That's quite a bit of verbiage, but it really doesn't get to the point at issue.

Basically you're saying that you throw rocks even though you warn others not to because "God lays it on your heart" - in other words you are arguing that you have special divine permission to sin.

After making this amazing statement, you then accuse others of blasphemy.

Fascinating.

Quix (post 10): Rock throwing tends to be a pretty hazardous hobby.

So, conditions on rock throwing now? First no rock throwing at the divorcee having a fling with Benny boy, the guy who talks about 9 gods?

What a slightly interesting super mangling of my words.

hmm...Quix (post 10): Rock throwing tends to be a pretty hazardous hobby.

Interesting -- that's pretty clear that your posts exonerate Paula who boasted in her journal about the "millions" she has in the bank as a result of fleecing her flock

Do you consider two ministers of the Gospel, who are not married to one another, who are photographed hand-in-hand coming out of a hotel in Rome to be engaging in acceptable behavior?

Is that acting "from a pure heart"?

hmm...post 55

  1. It’s never my desire nor intent to diminish at all the super priority of OBEDIENCE
  2. I know it’s very easy to take potshots from the sidelines.
  3. There are at least two sides to every story.
  4. Folks judging from the sidelines need to guard their hearts, minds, souls, attitudes else they reap unnecessary condemnation to themselves in the process.

Interesting -- yet aren't your posts taking the same potshots and stone throwing?

Matthew 7:3-5

And why seest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye; and seest not the beam that is in thy own eye?
[4] Or how sayest thou to thy brother: Let me cast the mote out of thy eye; and behold a beam is in thy own eye?
[5] Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam in thy own eye, and then shalt thou see to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
