Dear sister/brother in Christ -- aren't we all liars? Yes, this guy lied, but we ought to forgive him. As I pointed out above, this, imho is one type of rolling lie, a trap that any of us can get caught in. Did he harm someone by doing this? I don't know, but I think he only harmed himself. We should forgive and if he is a good pastor in other ways and preaches the Word of God, let him continue in this ministry after seeking sincere forgiveness (of course everyone will still remember and doubt, but that's life)

Vanity is the devil's favorite vice and if we get too self-righteous we can fall too!

The pastor doesn’t need OUR forgiveness nor can we give it on behalf of someone else.
